This is just too much-pic & update
kit_kats_mom wrote: Sorry I've not been around much ladies and gents. I decided to "meet my neighbors" and so I started a parenting group for parents in our subdivision. I've only met 4 of the members who joined from the 200 flyers we've passed out but they've been keeping us busy. When the article shows up in the newsletter next month, I forsee my time becoming even less free.
I've really hit it off with a mom who lives on the next street over. Her girls are about 4 months younger than K & L and they get along so well. We've been swimming at her place and today we had a picnic at the splash park. Woody is out of town and so is her DH so I had them all over tonight for a pajama party. The mom and I had frozen apple-tini's and the girls watched the little Mermaid and played. Here's a pic from tonight
Besides all that, I've also started back up at the gym and we are gearing up for K's first day of pre-school.
Hopefully, I'll be able to catch up again in the next few days.

mom21kid2dogs replied: Too cute!!!
It's nice to know your neighbors and especially find some you "click" with. So cool that the kids get along, too!
kit_kats_mom replied: That was our problem too. I just started a yahoo group, handed out some flyers and asked the HOA board to add a blurb in the newsletter. I know for a fact that there are a ton of young kids in our subdivision and it's sad that we don't know any of them. Depending on the response, we will have age based playgroups, pool/park meetups etc. I am hoping to be able to do a "homemade parade" for the 4th of July and a Christmas cookie decorating party too. Plus, it never hurts to know the people you live around. I just feel like it makes for a closer knit community.
Thanks for feeding my hubby Amy!
