This morning Christian has me worried....

I am not sure. I do not want to run across a mouse or a rat so I will leave any checking to Chris when he gets home.
I am hoping that nothing came to our house from our neighbors house, that burnt down last Christmas. Our neighbor is just now getting it cleaned up, and since she was a major packrat and all of that was left still in the house until last week burnt and wet from rain, I am hoping nothing is trying to make a home here in our house. That is the only thing I can think of. We have never had a problem with rodents, and I do not want to start now. I am terrified of small bugs as it is.
1lilpeanut2love replied: OMG! I hate mice and other things like spiders. Ewwh! I hope it waits to come out again when your hubby gets home. Good luck capturing it--whatever it is!!
1lilpeanut2love replied: If it's a rat you are in trouble. Those things are horrible. My friend had one get in her place before. It was hard to kill!! It kept on biting through a copper pole her bf had to try to kill it!
mammag replied: I know what you mean.....I hate the thought of rodents!
When we were getting our house built we stayed with mil and she has an old house that had mice. I ended up catching 17 within a few weeks! She couldn't believe she had been living with them all along. The thought of them now gives me chills.
Send him for a mouse hunt when he gets home....good luck!
Celestrina replied: The best way to find out if you have something is to start looking for droppings. Start in your basement first, then go from there. Lay down some traps; you can find no-kill ones if you prefer.
edit: Get some plastic containers for your breakfast cereal and other pet food. It will make it a little harder for them to find something to eat.
CantWait replied: I had a big mouse problem a couple years ago and those buggars are hard to kill. Start looking now, but even if you find no droppings that doesn't mean nothing. You usually only find the droppings after they've been there awhile. Start laying down some poison, you won't have to pick up the dead mice (they eat it, hide someone where you can't find them, most of the time anyway, and then they turn into puff).
Hope you don't have em.
MommyToAshley replied: EEEEEEEEEEEKKKK!
We need a smilie standing on chair because that would be me!
Does she have an active imagination... hopefully that is all that it is and you don't have mice or rats. Let us know if Chris finds anything.
C&K*s Mommie replied: me too!
My2Beauties replied: ACK I hate rodents and bugs! I'm cringing for you lady!
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Yikes! The very thought of a rodent freaks me out! I'm scared right along with ya Nicole!
na81 replied: YUCK, I can't stand rodents either! Hope you don't have one, but if you do, let's hope Chris finds it!
Celestrina replied: these are the best I could find: and
C&K*s Mommie replied: Thanks Celestrina. Those are definately me. Esp that last one!
luvbug00 replied: any new developments? any more sightings? Eww I really hope there is nothing there!
redchief replied: Heheheh... sooner or later, if you live in a building with a roof, you're going to have to deal with such pests... Sorry guys. Hope the critter, if it exists, waits 'til your dh gets home to raise his beady little head.
gr33n3y3z replied: ewwwww
I hate those things thank God we dont have any but when we go on vaction skiing my friend grabbed the dirty clothes in front of the washer to put them in one ran out of the clothes and ran between my feet lol
Its funny now but wasnt at the time
I hope you catch it if thats what it is
mammag replied: You know what worked really well for me..... I bought the cheap wood traps and put peanut butter on them instead of cheese.....they were very good at getting the cheese off without getting caught. The peanut butter smells a lot and they had to lick it off so they were bound to get caught that way. Then I put a trash bag on my hand and threw the whole thing away and used a new one.
I've heard horror stories about the poisons....they can die in the walls and really stink up the house.
C&K*s Mommie replied: love your siggy, Nadia.
No, I should let Christian use the first bathroom, since it is okay now. But I have not told her yet. But I still have to at least be in the room when she is using the other, then I walk off. admitting I am a mean mother, there. oh well.
Talked to my mother who is taking Christian to Disney World this weekend, to see if she mentioned a "mouseman" (Mickey Mouse) to her. Nope. My mother is cool with every living creature, except mice or rats. So that theory is out the door.
I talked to Christian about what the mouse looked like. She was telling me then I started to throw a curve ball, I asked if it had feathers, or if it was orange or red... I never should have started it- she was agreeing just to agree.
The girls are starting to go to sleep on the couch, refusing to sleep anywhere else.
Oh and one more thing. Our neighbors the other day mentioned that they found one spider one day in their kitchen, on another day the wife found one in bed one morning. I am truly thinking it has to do with our neighbor cleaning her packrat house, I am afraid to know the truth if it is. If nothing surfaces tonight, then a call to an exterminator is in order.
C&K*s Mommie replied: hmmm.... I may have Chris do that instead. Thanks for the tip!
