C&K*s Mommie wrote: But what in the world is a minimizing bra, and where could I get one??

mckayleesmom replied: They make you look a size smaller then you are I believe......I use to wear one by OLGA and I love that bra....Try JcPenney or Kohls.

C&K*s Mommie replied: great thank you! I had never heard of it before, but I will have to do that.

kit_kats_mom replied: Thanks Nicole, that was my next quesiton. LOL

kayla's mama replied: Ohh I love those bras. They make the girls seem smaller than what they really are. I get mine from Kohls and I just tried one from Gordman's and I love it.

mckayleesmom replied: I don't know if they actually make you look smaller or not, but I loved them anyways....They were the only bra I could find that would keep my boobs up and in place rolling_smile.gif

coasterqueen replied: I always thought they were like push-up bras but for women with boobs. I think push-up bras are meant for women without boobs. Or at least I can't seem to wear them. They make me look like Dolly Parton if I try. But to me a minimizing bra would suck them up but not make you look like Dolly.....maybe? I need one, that's for sure! biggrin.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
Thats the wrong bra.......This one only doesn't have any padding in them and only brings them up a little....and they are a little tighter then the normal bra....but still comfy...

I think you are thinking of the one from VS that makes you look like you are spilling out.

Trust me....they are pricey, but worth every penny. And if I could wear it at a 40dd then you can wear it too.....I would have never bought a push up bra or needed one.... laugh.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: I have resorted to using a sports bra to keep them in place, and up. So far, so good.

mckayleesmom replied:
I resorted to chopping mine off laugh.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: happy.gif trust me, I have thought about that too. laugh.gif Alas, one day I will..... one day in the very far off future.......

mckayleesmom replied:
Its worth it...100%

C&K*s Mommie replied: But did it end up costing more than you thought it would in the end, like $20,000 or more (which I know the military insurance picked up the tab for) but did it overrun your estimate on cost? I am afraid that insurance will not pick up the tab, and I will be out a ton of money one day. But fitting into certain tops better, may make it all the worth it, though. biggrin.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
Yes...the military picked it up and it was ALOT more then I thought it was going to be....30,000.

However...I also got 4 star accomedations and that was alot of the cost....My room looked like a fancy hotel and the food looked like it came from a 5 star restaurant. All that adds up. I didn't realize I would be staying in a fancy room and stuff.

The first doctor that I saw said I could go home that day if I was filling up to it.....Which Im glad I changed doctors...because I wouldn't have been going anywhere. rolling_smile.gif

My2Beauties replied: If I wore a minimizing bra I'd look like a man rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif My barely there B cups would get smooshed to smitherines. Even push up bras won't push up what I DON'T have! rolling_smile.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
not to be nosey but what size did you end up with, and are they all healed now?

TANNER'S MOM replied: Well if I wore a push up bra.. I wouldnt' be able to breathe! rolling_smile.gif

I like the minimizers and Lane Bryant has them too! And Dillards. My Favorite bras are the Lamystic brand at Dillard but they are $60.00-75.00 a pop. But they work and they have the strapless and convertible kind. Love them! They have them in my size and even bigger so we are good.. The strapless ones don't move and I love that!

kimberley replied: laugh.gif push up bras ARE for smaller women. i bought one on a suggestion from a friend who loved hers and i spent the day looking at myself cuz that is ALL i could see rolling_smile.gif

minimizing bra sounds great! will have to look for one. thumb.gif

luvmykids replied:
rolling_smile.gif same here!

mckayleesmom replied:
A Large C.....Which I have had before, but hated because of how saggy they were, but this time they are really different because he lifted them too. SO they seem alot smaller.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I hear ya LeaAnn. blush.gif
