Thomas is a little sicker then we thought... - just got back from the ER...

He sent us home and said to up the humidity with a vapourizer (I do that automatically when the get sick anyway) and to use Tylenol and Advil or Tempra to help control the fever. At one point he hit 102 under the arm, not a pretty sight. I have had very little to no sleep and am feeling the efffects of it tonight. He also said that if by Wednesday he isn't better or is having breathing difficulties to come back or go to the ER. So today after work he was still quite warm, fever of 101 and he hasn't eaten anything since Sunday so I thought it would be best if I took him back to the doctors. We went to the clinic and she (the doctor) sent us to the ER. That was at 6:30pm. He was temped at 103 and given tylenol, given a breathing treatment and something else to help loosen up his trachea (breathing tube) and he had a chest x-ray. After all is said and done 3 hours later he is home sleeping like a champion and breathing way better then he was 3 hours ago. He is now on celacor, an antibiotic to help clear up some red ears and any other infections that might be lingering in his lungs. The breathing treatment was because he sounded croupy and boy did it help.

Anyhow, I am now going to have my supper and talk to DH about what we are going to do for tommorow because we have to take him back the ped clinic to get him checked out and make sure he is getting better. Luckily my babysitter is awesome, she kept Matthew there the whole time we were at the hospital and he was going to sleep there but, DH got a message on his cell phone saying that Matthew wanted to come home because he was upset and missed us. How cute is that. Gotta run.....in desperate need of sleep. Goodnight.

jem0622 replied: So sorry the evil sick bus hit you hard. Hope he is back to his old self soon and you can catch some zzzz's. Sounds like something Gabe was hit with immediately after my D&C.
