Those with a boy and girl
mckayleesmom wrote: Which one was your worst at the terrible twos???...Mckaylee has already outdone Dennis the Menace.....but lately Russell has been a little mini menace....Im hoping his is just a phase.
I just wanted to know which tend to be more "two".....a boy or a girl.
Because if its the boy...I need to mentally prep ahead of time. Mckaylee has finally mellowed out alot.
Crystalina replied: Start bracing yourself . Izabella was a "terrible two" for about 3 or 4 months. She was pretty much an angel. Evan...he's another story. He started his terrible twos at 1 1/2 and he's still going strong. He won't be 3 until August but so far there is no light at the end of this tunnel. Good luck.
mckayleesmom replied: Mckaylee started hers at 14 months....and was still going strong till a month ago....Im really really hoping that he stays my quiet little man FOREVER....He is usually pretty good, but the last 2 days he has been into everything...which is typical...he is 1 and walking....
He unplugged the computer about 20 minutes ago Steals the computer mouse every chance he gets Is constantly turning off the tv or changing the channel...which leads to Mckaylee screaming He keeps pulling his highchair over
Im hoping it will pass.....quickly
luvmykids replied: Neither were bad at 2, it was 3 for me that was rough. But Colt always has been and still is more mellow of the two. He had/has his moments but overall has been way easier to deal with.
holley79 replied: Well with Trevor and Erika (the two I kept all the time.) Erika out did Trevor by far. She is still a holy terror.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Ethan started at one...he's a terrible, terrible two He was my sweet baby, too. So quiet and content. Not anymore.
Maddie started her terrible 2's at birth. She was so strong willed and such a hot head. She threw the worst fits. We couldn't go anywhere. It's funny...Scotty doesn't remember any of it. She was constantly getting into things.
It's hard to say which one was worse at this age. Ethan hits and bites, can't play by himself and Maddie wasn't a biter and she didn't hit. She played really well by herself and loved movies. Ethan cannot sit still and he SCREAMS. Maddie slept really good, too. She is a hard sleeper...Ethan is a light sleeper and doesn't take good naps.
Maddie mellowed out at 3...I think b/c she started the terrible 2's so early. Hopefully Ethan will follow suit. I don't think I can handle this much longer. He is wearing me out.
Bee_Kay replied: Brianne.... let me tell you something... GIRLS are much higher maintenance!! LOL
Ash is so dramatic, she is a sweetheart and has a heart of gold.... but everything is so dramatic!!!!
Ty, on the other hand, so so laid back and just happy and content with life.
They are now teens.... but I am talking about since they were babies!!
kimberley replied: well they were equally terrible in different ways. James was a terrorist lol. he tortured the cat, beat his brother, put sandwiches in the vcr and screamed blue murder to get his way. Jade screams too and is messy but will help tidy up sometimes but omg.. does she ever whine!!
but i do love em both
mckayleesmom replied: Mckaylee is a whiner too Kimberly....I always tell her that whining is outlawed in our home and to come back and talk to me when she is done whining....I CAN'T STAND IT... I don't know which is worse....getting into butter or whining.
Kirstenmumof3 replied: Emily was more vocal, like yelling out her bedroom window when we would give her a time out "CAN SOMEONE HELP ME!" And Spencer was more distructive, he would put toilet paper in the toilet, flush the toilet and watch the toilet paper spin off of the roll. He also flooded the upstairs 4 times and we had to replace all the tiles in the hallway and bedrooms because they all lifted from all the water.
Bee_Kay replied:
LOL!!! That is so funny!!
zdk753 replied: I never had a prob w/ the boys. They have always been real good. It's just been recently that they try to push my limits. Kailynn on the other hand is a holy terror. She is not having fun unless she is making a mess, tearing something up, etc.
MamaJAM replied: DD#3 was by far theeeeee WORST from 18 months to 4.5 years!
My oldest DD was in the 'terrible twos' from 18-24 months - but when she turned 2 she became the best kid. DD#2 wasn't really a handful much - a little around age two, but nothing major. DS#1 was close to being like DD#3 but never got _quite_ as bad (he's 3.5 now and still a bit of a handful - but nothing like her at her worst). And DS#2 is now 2.5 and a total sweetheart (with a bit of 'spunk' in him...but nothing too hard to handle).
danahas4monkeys replied: Well we have just entered the terrible two's a week ago! But the way our house is , Andrew has all of a sudden went from my sweet laid back little boy to this evil little monster but is still mostly good lol but see the problem is he is the hands on person and his almost 4yr old sister is the master mind. She comes up with the evil plots and Andrew just follows her lead Aimee (maddieðan's mom) could tell ya we have had a cover your brothers head in a tub of butter, see how much peanutbutter it takes to cover your brother, take a sharpie marker and see how many X's it takes to cover both your bodies. As far as my girls being worse at 2 than the boys my oldest dd and youngest ds have been the terrors, the other 2 just kind of hid it better I guess lol. Anyway good luck lol and just keep telling yourself , they will grow out of this they will grow out of this!

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Katy was/is (still at three) worse. Katy has always been a screamer, and whiner, and has no oproblem stomping arround and being generally obnoxious. SHe screams and cries over everything weither it's going her way or not. Matt is definately learning the finer art of tantrum throwing and has discovered that screaming at an incredibly high pitch and as loud as you can possibly imagine is a really good way to get mommy ticked.
Basically I wouldn't count Russel out for all obnoxious behavior but hopefully McKaylee will still be the worse one.
JP&KJMOM replied: JP was by far the best baby, the best toddler and now the best little man.
Karlee, like Aimee said, started the terrible 2's at birth. Colic, eczema, not sleeping, broken arm, fits, fits and more fits. SHe still does that and she will soon be 4. Seems like recently she has actualy gotten worse with the fits which makes me . She throws herself on the floor and screams but when I walk off she really gets mad and then just quits.
BAC'sMom replied: Man, that is a tough one.
DS #1 was pretty good @ 2 he did have a lot energy though. A live wire always on the go and in overdrives most of the time. The boy could not sit still. He also was a night owl and never slept through the night. He had his tantrums he would bang his head on the floor, bite, throw things and scream just to see you jump. But by the time he tuned 3 that was all over.
DD slept through the night at about 3 ½ months, just a perfect angel till she got mobile. (walking) She climbed on everything! She was a screamer, fit thrower, kick and do this weird crab crawl when she didn’t get her way. DD was far more high maintenance and emotional and still is. I can hear her screaming and I will think she has cut an artery and is bleeding to death. Then come to find out her brother was “just looking at her wrong”
Now DS#2 I have always said will make me gray. He walked at 9 months he ran at 12 months. He turned 2 about 2 weeks ago, but as been acting out since he was about 14 months. He throws things, has screaming fits and climbs on everything. He is smart enough to construct make shift ladders to get into things. Just call him our little McGuyver. He has tons of energy like my other son. DH has had to put locks on ever appliance that we own. If you don’t lock the doors he will escape.
So girls are more DRAMA boys have more ENERGY. JMO
lesliesmom replied: Don't want to scare you but DS is definitely much WORSE at the terrible two's.. Just a few days ago he "painted" with his poop and swallowed a dime (still waiting for that to pass)... Hate to see what's ahead... good luck.
Bee_Kay replied: LMBO!! WOW!!
luvmykids replied: I see money in your future ...
Brias3 replied: I'd probably have to say the girl. However, I don't want to speak too soon as Mason is still in the 2-year range and progressively getting more challenging
Ryan, my oldest, was a super mellow child and Aliyah was the full-of-drama one so that's what I'm basing the opinion on!
