luvmykids wrote: So who here doesn't drink soda, at all, ever?
MoonMama replied: Me!
I used to drink a couple cans of Pepsi a day. But I have not had soda unless you count club soda which I'll add to juice sometimes. In 8 months.
Anthony275 replied: me

luvmykids replied: WOW! I don't drink it regularly but once in awhile a craving hits
Maddie&EthansMom replied: You already know my answer, but I went an entire year or so without. I need to wean myself from them.
MoonMama replied: Getting off of the caffeine addiction was the hardest part for me.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Me
When I was nursing, I CRAVED coke so I had one once in a while, but it's been over a month or two since I've had one now. I also kicked coffee today!! Ugh. I had a cup of tea instead, which I know I know, is MORE caffeine, but it felt good to at least not have coffee.
MoonMama replied: Tea has more caffeine? What teas?
I don't really drink tea often but when I do its plain and caffeine free (Celestial Seasonings)
A&A'smommy replied: I love soda.. but I only have them every once in a while and usually diet.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: I am coming up on 4 years completely Tea and caffinated beverages free. I used to have a sprite every once in a while but it has been 13 months (today) since I have had any kind of soda at all...Now I am just water or juice every once in awhile
Bill and I gave up soda on the same day (He still drinks Tea and coffee ) The other night we were on the couch and he snuggled up real close to me and he said Baby you want to do some thing so bad but so fun.... Of course I laughed and asked what that would be Thinking I knew He said Let's go to Sonic and get Route 44 Dr. Peppers
I was laughing too hard to be insulted!
austins mom replied: I have had one sonda in 3 weeks. I use to drink a 2 litter a day.
luvmykids replied: ROFL
DH used to be the biggest Dr Pepper addict....he went through a 12 pack every two days He quit when I told him it had prune juice in it
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Thanks Mon now I have a massive craving! There is a small town we go through sometimes that has a D.P. factory...I am telling you it is the BEST D.P. you will ever have!!! I miss it
Ok in other news I put on lip gloss today! It tasted good too-strawberrylicious!

luvmykids replied: Do you mind not hijacking my thread
Back to the topic at hand, my grandma used to give me hot Dr Pepper, like microwave it when I was sick. It was sooooo yummy
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Oh now you have disturbed the ninja! None of your threads are safe now! HIIIIIIIIIIIIYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! be afraid......be very afraid!
I used to drink hot soda too-not microwaved - but no ice or room temp. I liked it better that way. Now I can't imagine drinking it like that
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Yep, a cup of black tea has more caffeine than a cup of coffee. I don't remember off hand exactly how much, but it's actuall A LOT more. I'm talking like Earl Grey or English Breakfast, teas like that. Celestial Seasoning herbal decaf teas are of course off the hook. I drink those too, I love peppermint, but I actually think my Earl Grey is CS as well. By the way, have you ever been to their factory in Boulder??? Sorry totally OFF topic? I want to go. They have like a 3 ton peppermint tea bag there.
MoonMama replied: Uh-oh
luvmykids replied:
I have no idea what that smilie is for but it seemed like an appropriate response
MoonMama replied: OOOOOH ok got it! I've never had any of those so I had know idea.
I have been there. I love it! You walk into the mint room and its like HEEEEELLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOO sinuses O-P-E-N!
mckayleesmom replied: Im addicted to soda....
mommy~to~a~bunch replied: I don't remember when I had pop last. But I LOVE coffee, and I only drink organic decaf coffee about once a week.
kit_kats_mom replied: I'm an iced tea kind of girl. I maybe drink 6 sodas a year.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: now and then. I LIKE it, but at the same time i hate that I can't just drink it like i would water, the fizz hurts.
Usually when I have some it's topped off with Jack or vodka.
kimberley replied: i used to never drink pop until i married dh but i can proudly say Jacob won't touch the stuff... even if you bribed him.
PrairieMom replied: I'm not buying it anymore and not keeping it in my house, but I will still drink it. I need my caffeine. and I LOVE coke.
lovemy2 replied: I don't drink pop very often - and by the way - Pop is your father - its soda that is at least what my roomates in college who lived in LOOOONNGGG ISLAND told me - anyway....
I have a soda once in awhile - DH drinks 1-2 diet Mt Dews a day - he thinks its not a big deal - but I at least got him off regular Mt Dew over a year ago - I prefer water - and I drink only about one cup (well travel mug) of coffee a day..........
Every once in awhile though I go for a full flavored Pepsi - I prefer pepsi over coke.....
sparkys2boys replied: You had to go there huh Rocky with the voday..lol!! Thats how I have mine too
kimberley replied: nooooooooo Soda is the older brother in the Outsiders book/movie!
i have never heard anyone actually use the word "soda" until i came to this board.
mommy~to~a~bunch replied: LOVE me some vodka too! Been a LONG time though .
kit_kats_mom replied: We actually call it all Coke down here. LOL
Hillbilly Housewife replied: we only do if it's actually Coke. heh
Kaitlin'smom replied: hardly ever, I cant stand the taste anymore. I perfer water, milk and tea hot and cold. sometimes coffee. I did have some sprite when I was sick sunday and monday but before that who knows.
lisar replied: I dont drink it at all. I dont like it. I drink sweet tea. And thats it.
PrairieMom replied: oooohh sweet tea. Love it. Can't get it up north tho. They give you regular tea with sugar packets. They literally don't know what it is.
bawoodsmall replied: very little pop here. But coffee....wow I love coffee. I wonder if I could do without pop. Maybe I will try that first before jumping right into life without coffee.
luvmykids replied: Here too....we say "Do you want a Coke" and whoever you're asking says "Sure, I'll have a Dr Pepper"
MotherForever2043 replied: Maybe once a week.
holley79 replied: I have to have a diet Pepsi max every single morning. Either one or two. In the evenings I have Diet Sprite or water.
TheOaf66 replied: very little
Calimama replied: Same here!!
Cece00 replied: We drink it...probably a little bit much. Sometimes when I feel like I've had a bit too many I will not buy it for a few weeks.
But, its always diet, and about 1/2 the time I get decaffinated drinks. But I sort of need the caffeine sometimes.
We drink a lot in general, though....usually we have plenty of water (I have to drink a good bit or I get headaches) & 1 or 2 sodas, plus maybe some tea, I make that occasionally too.
And here is a chart for caffeine for anyone interested.

jcc64 replied: It's soda around here. Pop sounds hilarious to me. I like soda, but I avoid it and don't keep it in the house. I LOVE sweet tea- I used to drink gallons of it when I visited the now defunct corporate hq in North Carolina. It's easy to make, Tara- just put the sugar in the pitcher with the tea bags and pour the hot water over everything. That's the trick- not adding the sugar after the tea has cooled. And no lemons, either.
