Boys r us wrote: my trial run for tomorrow!!!!

I'm going back to work tomorrow! It's bittersweet! I'm really ready to have a little bit of my old life back..the adult conversations, mental stimulation, a little me time! But at the same time I'm totally freaked out about being away from my kiddos!

I had a post-op check-up today at 8:50, so Rick and I took the kids to school and to the babysitters this morning for a "trial run". Honestly it was harder for me to leave Braedon than it was Alexandra! He hasn't been in Daycare since this past summer and we've had a lot of good bonding time together...but he needs preschool since he'll be going off to kindergarten in the fall. I've worked with him a lot and he knows his letters and how to count etc, he's even beginning to read on his own now, but he needs the social interaction and the structure before he starts real school.

He was none too excited about it. I know he's probably doing fine now..but he was on the fence about it this morning, he was really wanting to be excited, BUT....he was scared too and being scared won! He's the biggest worrier I've ever met and he's only 4 yrs old! he was up half of the night last night, he just couldn't sleep and I know it was because the anxiety about today was getting the best of him!

Alliebelle on the other hand...she's oblivious that anything is different! She is going to be going to a home daycare ran by a very good, long time family friend of ours. She also babysat Braedon from the time he was a newborn until he was 4yrs old. So I know Allie is in good hands! But it still makes me a little sad to be away from her!

So..anyhoo....that's how my day has gone so far...oh the doctor said the my 4 incisions on my tummy are healing remarkably well, she said they look like someone who was 4 - 6 weeks out of surgery and I'm only 1 week out! So that was great news!

I'm only leaving Alliebelle at the sitters until noon-ish today and Braedon until about 2. She and I will spend some quality time together this afternoon and then we'll go pick up her big brothers from school.
So I'll be on a little less starting tomorrow. Mostly on in the afternoon and evenings. I am only working until noon each day but, by the time I pick all of the kids up and do errands etc..it will be at least 3ish before I'm home and able to get online..so don't let anything too exciting happen until at least 3 each day!! LOL

It was a trial run for daddy too since he'll be taking both kids every morning b/c I'll be at work at 4am! So, Daddy dressed me(and he even found all of the matching pieces to my outfit..and got my hairbow in!)

my2monkeyboys replied: Oh, I know that's got to be tough on you! But just give it a few days or so and you'll all be in the swing of things. I'm sure Braedon will love it once he gets to know the other kids, too.

Allie is growing so fast! Isn't she the most beautiful little girl!!!

I almost bought that same shirt for Ethan that Brae has on.

Oh, and I was in CostCo the other day and I swear to you there was a man that looks exactly like Rick taking inventory. He must have been a vendor or something.

And preschool will be fun for Breadon, I'm sure it will just take a week or so for him to get back in the swing of things! Best of luck starting back tomorrow!
