Today is my 20th high school reunion

Do you guys go to your reunions?

Our Lil' Family replied: I went to my 10 year.....it was alright. We're on 15 this year but no mention of another one and I probably wouldn't go anyway.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: I was homeschooled so every time I see my sister it's a high school reunion. laugh.gif But we went to Dh's 10 year reunion a few years ago... it was pretty awkward and boring for me of course but I think it was kind of boring for Dh too. We went with two couples we're friends with - both of the guys went to HS with Dh - and we mostly just sat at a table with them and so there really wasn't any point. rolleyes.gif

youngmomofone replied: Crazy how some people never change, huh? My 10 year was supposed to be next year. And even though I didn't graduate with them, I don't think they are even having one. The 2001 one was being planned, but has stopped all together so I think reunions are a thing of the past, esp since there's FB and other social networking now.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I had SO much fun at my 10 year reunion!! More fun than I ever had in high school. It was before FB and Myspace, so it had been 10 years since I had seen some of those people! We are all pretty much spread out and of course there were some that didn't make it to the reunion, that I missed. Afterward we went to a local hangout and a bunch of people were in town from the younger and older classes (and even the other schools)---it was so fun seeing them, too.

I am from a pretty small town and most of the people I graduated with, I'd known since elementary. Going to the reunion made me realize how close we were then. Most of them I don't talk to all the time--and that might be a good thing--but we are always so happy to see each other again....kind of like family. laugh.gif

We talked about a 15th, but it didn't happen. The 20th is coming up soon and I'm really looking forward to it.

ZandersMama replied: I didn't have a single friend in high school and I have no desire to go back. Some of the people I went with added me on facebook and I don't understand why, like, you made fun of me all through school and now you want to "friend" me? lol. So, to answer instead of rant, no, i won't be going. tongue.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: My 10th is this year and I haven't decided yet....on one hand, there are a few people I'd love to catch up with. On the other hand, our class has a group on Facebook where the reunion committee has been keeping everyone updated on their progress in getting it set up and from some of the comments it's been clear that most of the people haven't changed a bit and petty high school behavior of the cliques and snobbishness is going strong......and I really want nothing to do with that at this point in my life. So basically, I'm undecided. tongue.gif

PrairieMom replied: I wanted to go to my 10 year, but I had to work, and really I heard it was lame. No one really planned it, it was just sort of a meet up at a bar down town, not cool for a class of 320. rolleyes.gif
My 20 year will be coming up in a few years. I will go, just to see how everyone else turned out. laugh.gif

luvbug00 replied: Nope..I hated high school.

coasterqueen replied: Ryan and I helped plan our 10 year. I was pregnant with Kylie then so I didn't enjoy it all that much, only because it was hot and I was huge and miserable. happy.gif

I plan to go to my 20th. I didn't like half the people, and keep in contact with those I do like already, but I still plan to go. Why not? happy.gif

moped replied: I don't remember when the 10 year was and obviously didn't go - and I live soooo far away now. Now my 25 is not too far away and I am certain i won't attend that either!

mummy2girls replied:
I went to my 10 year. what i found funny was all the popular snotty and mean girls were now fat....LOL....

it was neat to gop back to my highschool years but i dont know if i would go to anymore reunions...LOL

Hillbilly Housewife replied: My 10th was a few years ago.

I helped to plan it, and stuck around for about an hour... but I left when the majority of people arrived, because I have no patience for petty people.

That, and I have no patience for hearing about someone I couldn't care less about tell me that they have a house, had a wedding, have a baby or expecting one, their "career" (yeah, their McDonald's job...) and blah blah blah, and I likewise don't particularly feel like telling them my life story either. It's like one big brag fest. Not interested.

I may go to my 15th, it's coming up soon. If only so that I can just inwardly smirk and get the satisfaction of seeing all the self-starving skinny witches from high school now obese and no better off. (I had a little extra weight in high school. It's my revenge. rolling_smile.gif )
