moped wrote: Things are starting to kick in now - wowzers........
at 4:30 I will not have to be stuck in traffic twice a day, get up and out in 40 below weather, etc etc
I have 2 weeks at home to get things done and then wait!!!!!!
stella6979 replied: How exciting! I hope you enjoy your time at home.
sparkys2boys replied: REALITY check huh!!! Enjoy the time you have at home and relax!!! Get some rest and enjoy sleeping at night!!
grapfruit replied: Yeah! She's almost here!
Mommy2Isabella replied: YAY!!! You have to be somewhat excited!!! I can't wait to meet your little girl!!!
moped replied: I am excited, but MAN I have work to do at home. I am going to tackle one big thing a day, not 12 like I did before!
Tonight I am going through all Jacks toys to make room for a christmas tree
Tomorrow we need major groceries because it MAY be the last time I go before she arrives. Also I need to really clean my bedroom
Sunday will do a super job of bathrooms
lovemy2 replied: Good for you but try in between all that to take some time to rest - life is about to get crazy
I so can't wait to meet this little girl
A&A'smommy replied: WOW YAY!!! I know you are excited... except for all the work you have planned for yourself. Enjoy your time at home and get some rest too!!
Calimama replied: You should just sleep.. you'll need it after she's born.
bawoodsmall replied: Here she comes... Try to get some rest before she arrives. You may need it. And I mean by yourself because Jack keeps you soo busy. Cant wait for the pics. I am waiting for a niece that is due to arrive in 6 days. Baylee Marie.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I'm excited for you Jen! Now I forget, are you taking the full year off? I know that's what you get in Canada, right? Well ENJOY my friend. Don't do too much. Go get a pedi or something...Like the others said, you're about to go for a ride, so take it easy while you still have the chance!
moped replied: I technically could have a year off, but don't think I will - maybe come back by August/Sept, after our summer holidays are over.
My2Beauties replied: OMG you guys get a full year? Is it paid? Sheesh, we get 6 freaking weeks here, and we can take up to 12 but the last 6 are usually unpaid, sometimes all of them are unpaid depending on the company you work for. Can I move to Canada?
Anyways, go home and snooze, you're gonna need it. Get some rest and tackle one small thing a day. You're gonna need it when that baby gets here.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: It's getting close!!!!
bawoodsmall replied: So you can get paid for a year? Crap I am jealous
moped replied: How it actually works here is you go on unemployment, so 60% of my wage for a year....so that is a pretty decent cut in pay IMO, but it is nice to have the option to be off, with your company having to keep your job for that long
luvmykids replied: Rest up girlfriend, you might be sorry if you don't
bawoodsmall replied: Well depending on how you look at it it may not be a cut. For instance I pay for child care so I prob would be making more at home since she wouldnt be in childcare kwim. And yeah I pay that much for child care.
moped replied: I don't pay child care so it is going to hurt!!!!!
bawoodsmall replied: Yeah then that would be the craps.
MoonMama replied: Oh gosh its getting close! I agree rest up.
CantWait replied: Enjoy your time off Jen, and rest up.
MotherForever2043 replied: How exciting, she's almost here!!! Enjoy your time off with your family.
My3LilMonkeys replied: So how does that work, if you don't mind me asking? Your company has to keep your job open but you don't have to tell them exactly when you're coming back? How do they get your work done - do they hire temps?
Sorry if I'm being nosy....
