Tomorrow
Kirstenmumof3 wrote: The doctors saw me yesterday and basically told me they think this is a relapse. Of what we are not sure. Tomorrow we will find out the results of the biopsy and we will know what course of treatment they will start. Tomorrow I will find out if Spencer will have to start chemo therapy, have a procedure called a DLI (basically infusing him with Claudia's stem cells) and they will send us home or if he will need to have another bone marrow transplant. I'm scared and I'm trying to be strong. It's so very hard to be strong. Tomorrow we will get a lot of answers, but I don't know if we will hear what it is that we want to hear. I just want my son to be fine. I just want him to continue to have the enthusiasm he has now.
I talked to Spencer yesterday, told him about what could possibly happen and when it came to the bone marrow transplant he said "Well that would suck." Kinda caught me off gaurd. So I asked "Why?" he said "Well #1 I would have to take cyclosporene again, which I hate and #2 I wouldn't be able to eat resturant food, which I love!" If we could all just take from his example. He has told me not to worry and tells me "Mom I'm gonna be just fine!" Such a sweet little boy. My heart is aching!
