Transplant Day!
Kirstenmumof3 wrote: Finally the big day has arrived! We are in a new isolation room and they are giving him 2 hours of hydration before transplant and then some benedryl. The doctors just came in, I'm so sick of them! They told me to expect Spencer appetite to decrease in the next few days! I had to remind them that at this point last time he wasn't eating at all! Why would they say something like that in front of Spencer! I just hope that Spencer continues to eat and proves them wrong! So far everything is going very good!

Kirstenmumof3 replied: A little bit of a scare! He had a severe headache and we cannot determine why. His blood pressure went really high and he just couldn't stop screaming! I felt so awful, you couldn't even touch his head! They gave him Tylenol, Demoral and Ativan and finally things were under control, but it took about 20 minutes for him to stabalize.
Now he's starving and I'm about to order him dinner! I'm so happy he is eating!
grapfruit replied: I'm glad he's eating! Prove them wrong Spencer
MommyToAshley replied: Wow... I wonder what caused his headache? Could it have been just nerves or do the doctors think it is something else? Has he already had the transplant? That's great that he is still eating... wtg Spencer!
Spencer, and all of you, continue to be in my prayers. Please keep us posted!
BAC'sMom replied: You both are in my thoughts and prayers please keep us posted.
