UGH! Hannah would not go to bed.... - Up til mignight last night!
MomToMany wrote: I don't know what was wrong! She still nurses to sleep, but she would not fall asleep! When she finally did, she wouldn't let me put her in her crib. So she slept with us last night, and she's a bed-hog!! She wasn't like that before!
Plus, DH went to bed EARLY, of course!! Usually I get to put on my pj's on before he does, but not last night!
Just wanted to vent a little!
amynicole21 replied: Sophia has been a mess at night, too! Staying up until 9 when she used to go down at 7:15!!! She has been fighting afternoon naps on weekends, and getting so overtired that she is inconsolable. I hope this is just a phase for Hannah and Sophia!!
paradisemommy replied: maybe there's something in the air taven started doing that about a month ago - totally fighting his sleep - he nurses to go down and he'll end up rolling all over the bed - like he's trying to get comfy...talk about a bed hog!!
MomToMany replied: Had the same thing happen last night, as well! She's not sleeping with us anymore!! Between her & DH, I had about a foot of mattress to myself, and just couldn't get comfortable. I'd rather sleep on the floor!!
I hope this is just a phase!! Sorry you guys are going through it too!
Kaitlin'smom replied: probably a phase I went through it with Kaitlin not fighting sleep but she would be asleep by 8:30a then wake up around 11:30p and wanted to sunggle with me! I could not put her back in her crib or she would scream, so for me to get any sleep I had to sleep with her, and the I finnaly could put her back in her crib at 5am! Well thankfully(I did like sleeping with her but I always worrid she might wake up and craw of fthe bed) it only lasted a few days and we are back on schedule. SO hang in there! Big hugs!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Zach does the SAME THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BEFORE, he went to bed around 7:30 or 8, and slept good until maybe 3, then wake up for like 10 minutes, then sleep until 5, then be up for about 30 minutes, then sleep until 7.
NOW?
Ha. It's GRRRREAT if he's in bed by 10, he SCREAMS bloody murder when I try to put him down, and will NOT sleep anywhere but cuddled with me or DH. So to save ourselves grief, he sleeps in our bed between us, and he kicks us, rolls around, flips from head to foot, punches us, slaps us, laughs, cries, ALL IN HIS SLEEP!!!!!!!!
Drives me NUTS.
Good luck - and when you find a solutino, please let me know - I haven't had a good night's sleep in about 2 weeks, and I haven't had an evening to do anything for the last month or so.....*sigh*
MommyToAshley replied: Hmmmm, when all of you had sleeping babies, I had problems with Ashley waking up at night. Now that your babies are waking up at night, Ashley is sleeping well at night. I want to send you all some sleeping baby vibes, but only if Ashley will not do the opposite. hehe.
coasterqueen replied: OKAY! I must have the only baby who has had sleep problems since birth and still does! Kylie gets 3 hours of naps during the day and when she gets tired at night I try to nurse her to sleep. But, Noooooo, she just isn't ready to go to sleep. She fights sleep to the death and always has!
Since I BF Dh always leaves it up to me to put her down for the night and unfortunately I spend at least an hour if not more trying to get her to sleep then I get so tired I go to sleep, so then I get absolutely nothing done at night.
We co-sleep, too, because she absolutely refuses to sleep in her crib. She will sleep the 1st hour in there and that's it! She is the biggest bed hog, too.
I just keep telling myself that she has to sleep in her own bed and sleep good by the time she is a teenager, right?
Schnoogly replied: No you're not the only one with sleep problems since birth. Iain always fights every nap still at 7.5 months, and wakes up 4-6 times during the night. Sometimes it's just long enough to latch on and go back to sleep, sometimes he needs to be carried around the room. He's not hungry--he doesn't want to nurse and won't take a bottle, we've tried. I know about the foot of mattress thing--I wish we had a king sized bed. He takes up so much room! I go to bed with him or else I'd be dead tired in the morning (still am anyway) since I can't make any noise in the house or he'll wake up. I never get anything done--our house is a disaster.
At least he has a pretty stable bedtime of 8:00. It may take an hour before that of getting him ready but he usually is asleep by 8:30 at the latest.
MomToMany replied: I think it's OVER !! She's slept through the night for the past 2 nights now, so I think it was just a short phase.
WOOHOO!! Keep up the good work, Hannah!!
MommyToAshley replied: YAY! WTG Hannah! Keep it up!
Kaitlin'smom replied: yippy! we all still back on track here also!!!
