UGH! We can't decide on ANY baby names!

MomToMany wrote: This is getting extremely frustrating!! I can't seem to find a single one I like at all. DH's don't make sense. He wants Jesse James for a boy, which I will not do. My sister's DH's name is Jesse. That's about the only one he's thought of.

None even sound good to me, so I have a feeling this baby will be called "baby" forever. I know there's plenty of time left to think of one, but I'm just frustrated I guess.

Any ideas or good books out there? I don't like using websites, unless there's a good one I don't know about. I did a search on them, but didn't find any I liked.

Must be another mood swing blink.gif !

maliksmommy replied: are you just looking for boys names or girls also? Do you guys have middle names that you want to use?

MomToMany replied: We'll need one of each, since we don't know what we're having. The boys middle name will be James, but we haven't decided on a girls middle name yet.

Kaitlin'smom replied: sorry I am not much help just want to offer some grouphug.gif and to tell you its okay you will got one soon.

MommyToAshley replied: I bought a couple of Baby Name Books and none of them helped. hehe. I always liked the name Richelle (pronounced like Michelle but with an "R") but DH didn't care for it.

Are there any names from T.V. or movies that you like? We liked the spelling of Ashleigh (the reporter on FOX) but we decided to spell it the traditional way to keep things simple for Ashley. However, we didn't decide on her name until we went to deliver. We had it narrowed down to a few though -- Ashley was almost called Paige or Sierra. smile.gif I can't imagine calling her that now, heehee.

I would keep a pen and paper with you so when you hear one you like you can write it down. I can't remember how many times I heard a name I liked and then couldn't think of it later.

Good luck, sorry I wasn't much help. Let us know when you decide on a name.

coasterqueen replied: No help here, but I definitely would keep a pad and pen around to jot down names you hear on tv and such. I remember hearing the name Kristiana (pronoused Kristi and anna with an ahhhhh, kwim wink.gif on tv and that was the name I wanted for a girl. I didn't write it down, forgot about it, remembered it a few months later but DH hated it sad.gif So obviously that one got nixed laugh.gif

jem0622 replied: Well, for a boy...and since you have James for the middle name...here are some ideas

Nathaniel
Brandon
Daniel
Matthew

Just some ideas.

I have no idea on the girl. When I was preggo with Nathan (3.5) we had Hannah Louise for the girl's name, but I don't know if that will be a keeper if this baby is a girl.

Julie

5littleladies replied: When I hear the name Jesse James I think of the bank robber (I'm from Northfield where he was "defeated". tongue.gif

Dont' worry-you still have a couple months. I'm sure you will figure out something by then! smile.gif

A&A'smommy replied: wasnt jesse james that guy that went around killing people like a hundred years ago? Just a thought.... i like james but to me jesse seems like a girly name..no offense. Sorry im not much help i cant think of anything! You will get it dont stress yourself out on something like this!! i hope you find something you like!!! (((((HUGS)))))

paradisemommy replied: are you looking for a traditonal name or a more unusual name...

kit_kats_mom replied: This is what we ended up doing and it worked for us. Once we found out the sex...lord knows, 2 names would have probably caused a divorce. We each wrote down our favorite girl name for each letter of the alphabet. We took a week or so to do this and I gave him links to sites with names so he could get some ideas. We then planned a nice dinner out (out is good...I probabaly wouldn't get so upset/loud out) dry.gif and we each brought our favorite names. We then struck alot of them. Ex: A=Alexis (me), Annibelle (him). Then we discussed it. ME" I knew a ho in HS named annibelle & I don't like the nickname "ani"" that one was struck. etc. We each accpted the others strikes with the idea that we could come up with a few names at the end out of 52. Anyway, we ended up with about 12 names that we both liked. We then polled all of our friends, co-workers etc. The final tally: Taylor = 14, Kyndall = 14, Lauren = 10, Katherine = 9. We were going to go with Kyndall Taylor but Closer to the birth we decided to go a little more classic hence Katherine Taylor. HTH. BTW, I still have the "polling card" in her baby book. rolling_smile.gif

MomToMany replied: Thanks for the ideas everyone. I just had a frustrating preggo moment. I'm sure we will come up with something. I have a list started, so that's good. I'm not really sure I like any on there quite yet. It's hard naming someone before you see them.

chloe&tysmommy replied: I can relate, when I got pregnant I had the hardest time picking out names. The few that I liked dh hated so it was tough. I don't know what to suggest to you but have fun and good luck with the names happy.gif

mckayleesmom replied: How about Justin James...thats cute...I don't care for Jesse..JMO...And since you have a hannah..maybe go with H's....Like Hailee Marie, maybe something that kind of goes together with your other little girl.

MomToMany replied:
rolling_smile.gif Those names are on my list! I haven't showed it to DH yet, he's too busy hunting. So, I'll wait until he gets his 5 deer so he will be in a good mood.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: What about Sebastian James?

I think that sounds awesome!

MomToMany replied: thumb.gif I like the sound of that one! I'll put it on my list! Thanks everyone!!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Well, luckily I never had to come up with the names. LOL! I am soooo indecisive. DH came up with Madeleine Estelle (she was named after my g-ma though) and I think I brought up Ethan Scott (only boy's name we agreed on) and DH chose Emma Rebecca (Rebekah is how I want it spelled though) That is his g-ma's name. Maybe name him/her after someone you admire.

Another name I really like for a boy is Harper. I am trying to talk DH into it. It is a little old fashioned, but you don't see it a lot. (or ever) So Ethan may be Harper if this is a boy. LOL! (I told you I am indecisive) rolling_smile.gif

maestra replied: I like the name Tristan James- but I dunno! Good luck!
