UGHHH!!! WHY did I not just leave? - I knew what I wanted.....
punkeemunkee'smom wrote: I went in yesterday to get my hair cut again-it was growing out and I wanted a different shape. Anyway the girl who was going to cut it looked at the picture I brought in and said I don't think that cut would be good, It is too short. It wasn't short all over it was just more layered than what I had. I knew that I should leave and find someone else-she had an additude! Well I didn't leave and she said why not just shape this a little different? So I sat there and she cut it WAYYYY shorter than the pic I brought in and I won't lie I LOVED it yesterday after she styled it BUT today I can't get it to look good AT ALL and I look like a boy I know it will grow back and the funny thing is I am going to call the girl who I took a pic of her hair in and ask her where she goes.....(we met at a sale and I took a picture of her hair ) So I did not learn my lesson about messing with my hair-BUT I did learn NOT to let a grumpy stylist cut your hair!!! I hope if I keep messing with it maybe I will figure it out.....A friend took a pic with my phone at Chic-Fil-A-it is a bad pic but I will show you all anyway!
edit to make picture smaller and clearer...
mckayleesmom replied: OOH....I LOVE it Abbie....I think it is very pretty on you and makes you look really young...She did a good job....
5littleladies replied: I agree with Brianne. It looks wonderful! I wish I had the courage to go and do something to my hair.
MyLuvBugs replied: That's Adorable!!! It looks really cute on you!! Did she show you how to style it yourself?
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Thanks guys! I really loved it yesterday! I guess I just can't get it to do what she did and so I am having a pity party! I do think it is a good cut although not what I was thinking it was cute after she was done-maybe I should be blaming me not her huh?
luvmykids replied: Abbie I LOVE it! I think it's really great! Did you try a giant round brush while blow drying it?
punkeemunkee'smom replied:
She did show me and I did use a round brush(that is all she used)....I think maybe it has to do with her dryer had one of those nozals on it to direct the air in one area cuz all I keep doing it getting one section right and then messing it up with the air again when I do the next section! I am sure I will get it eventually-cuz I am not going out like this!
Bill says it looks great but I think he has to say that!
Sorry I am maybe I am overly hormonal today!
kayla's mama replied: Abbie, that looks great!!!! I love it
3xsthefun replied: I think it looks good! You are pretty!
luvmykids replied: The nozzles help a lot, I think you can buy them at WalMart. Plus I clip my hair up and just pull out one section at a time, starting with the bottom and back, the last part I do is the top. HTH but I still think you did a great job yourself!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Abbie it is SO CUTE!! It is so fitting! Sometimes it is really hard to get used to a new haircut. Trust me...I know. I hate my hair EVERYTIME I get it cut. I get home and cry b/c I can't make it look like my cousin gets it to look (my stylist is my cousin)
I'm sorry you don't like it, but play with it some and give it a couple of days. Next time you like someone's hair don't be afraid to ask them where they get their haircut.
You're a cutie!
My3LilMonkeys replied: I love it! Is it layered in the back, or just in the front?
Brias3 replied: I think its a beautiful cut...really compliments your face well! Very pretty
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Thank you all again! Aimee-I am glad I am not alone! It is layered in the back too-she got it all to stack nicely and curl under-I can only get it to flip out. Here is how it looked today after a trip to see the Easter Bunny with Tay and Bill-
kayla's mama replied: I still think it looks cute It really does look good on you!!!
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Brandi-That is why I love ya!
kimberley replied: i think it's cute!
sorry your stylist was a witch
luvmykids replied: I honestly don't know which I like better, you're gorgeous so IMHO your hair is just the icing on the cake.
jacobsmama replied: I think it looks awesome both ways, the first way was flatter and the 2nd pic when you did it was curlier and luck you they both look great! Get it girl alot of ppl don't have nerve to cut there hair short but you did it and it looks
AWESOME!
MM'sMama replied: Abbie honey are you kidding me? You look GREAT!!!! I LOVE it, your so beautiful!!!!!
NEWMOM05 replied: I think it looks terrific
A&A'smommy replied: OH Abbie I LOVE it, your are absolutly gorgeous!!!
C&K*s Mommie replied: Your hair looks GREAT, both ways- curled and not so curly. ITA with all the ladies above, you are beautiful anyways, and your hair is just the icing (so to speak) on the cake!
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: He he, I started a haircutting trend. Who's next? Abbie, I love it. If I had curls I would have gone with a similar cut. And I kind of like the flippy ends. However, if you are still struggling, make an appointment with the stylist and ask her to show you how to fix it. Most stylists want to make their customers happy, return busines and all, so she should be willing to help you out. I hope you are happier with it now that you've had a bit to get used to it. I think it is seriously cute. What is it that Paris Hilton says? "That's Hot!"
ETA, I can't believe I just quoted Paris Hilton.
luvmykids replied: Kelly, I'm a little disappointed about that .... lol
punkeemunkee'smom replied:
Kelly!!! Oh man I needed that!
I will get used to it I am sure...I was a bit over emotional yesterday I need to take a deep breath and step away from the round brush!
Thank you all for your kind words! I REALLY needed that!
JP&KJMOM replied: Abbie I love it both ways. Trust me give yourself some time to learn to fix it. Using a round brush is not something you learn to do overnite and like Monica I think said pin it up and do it a layer at a time.
BTW with it curly you can nearly live up to Big Texas Hair!
punkeemunkee'smom replied:
Before I cut it-I had long curly hair...the bigger the better right?!? I am an 80s kid!
JP&KJMOM replied:
Me to I am an 80's kid and from Texas tops it off. I am trying to live with flat hair but it is so hard!
punkeemunkee'smom replied: I know! Texas rodeo hair
Flat hair is a no no here!
CantWait replied: I think it looks super cute. Looks great on ya.
