J-rod replied: back from doctor: GOOD, BAD, GREAT

well the good news: mommy and baby are both doing good. all ok.

the bad - didnt get an US...said next time when she is 18 weeks along.

the great - got to hear baby's heart beat for the first time. had us scared for a minute though cause it took the doc a minute or so to find the heart beat. but we found it beating so regularly.

more great - we settled on names over dinner tonight

BOY - Kyan Xander Vincent C.

GIRL - Loralie Mable Nadine C.

we going with 2 middle names since thats a thing in her family..so we keep it going.


so now i wait another three weeks to see my baby in its first US. but all in all an ok day. mommy did wonderful in the exam room and the lab. thought sh was gonna pass out once but laid her down and talke until she calmed down and felt ok to stand. i was so proud of her!!

jacobsmama replied: awww, so glad you got to hear the heartbeat, isn't that soo exciting! Sorry you didn't get to do the u/s but hey when you do it closer to 18 weeks it is easier to tell the sex if you are going to find out!

J-rod replied: hearing the heart beat made our day. last night she was sooo happy about that and finally able to relax a little more.

we def. gonna find out sex, so i guess the wait be ok.....hopefully we can see what it is.

The wonderful thing about it was that we got to have everything ready for when Ty came home.... BLUE!!!

I still have the US pic of Ty.... There was *no doubt* it was a boy

Hearing the heartbeat was wonderful for us... especially with our first. It made it even more "real".

I am happy for you! It's a wonderful thing to experience.
