Ugh ever have a morning you wish you could do over
Schnoogly wrote: Iain is teething big time, so on top of his normal waking every couple of hours he just squirms and fusses constantly even with motrin, so we had a bad night. DH took him down to the hammock for a few hours so I could sleep without him attached to my breast for a little while.
I just couldn't get out of bed anyway, so DH took him downstairs when he woke up at 7. I finally dragged myself out of bed at 7:30, Iain was super fussy, wouldn't eat. Then DH made a pot of coffee but forgot to put a filter in, making a huge mess (and no coffee!) Then Iain wouldn't go to sleep. By this point DH is an hour late for work, and then when he went out to the car he saw someone had stolen the face plate for our cd player (we have a carport and forgot to lock the car last night.) Finally I had just gotten Iain to sleep and DH comes in and flings the frame across the room, waking Iain up. Now he is too pissed to go to work and is rambling around in the driveway, I don't know what he is doing.
We have two road trips coming up--we need our CD player! Can you replace just the face plate?
Oh it just got worse--DH was wandering in the driveway because the check engine light is now on...and the car is dusty but the hood was wiped clean. It looks like they futzed with our engine, and it doesn't look like anything is missing except a cap on the air filter housing, but I don't know if that was missing before.
Aaarrrgh!!!
ediep replied: OOOHHHH that sucks!! Sorry about your hard morning. Hope you have a better day
Mommieto2Girls replied: That's awful...I hope the rest of the day goes better. You should be able to contact the company and just buy the face plate. Good luck. I hope they didn't screw up your car.
chloe&tysmommy replied: Sounds like you need a big
Thats so terrible, hope your day goes better!
Daddy of Schnoogly replied: Long time lurker, first time poster.
As we speak, my wonderful wife (should that be WW?) is cleaning up the car to take it in to get the engine checked out. Blah.
You guys are all nice and stuff. Thanks for the supoort, in general.
Kaitlin'smom replied: welcome daddy!
I am sooo sorry you had a ruff morning and night. I hope it gets better! Hugs to all of you!
Daddy of Schnoogly replied: In the continuing saga, it appears that a very expensive air flow controller/ditributor thing was stolen out of our car. THe mechanic says that whoeever did it probably knew exactly what they were doing, and targetted our specific car. Coupled with the fact that they wiped the hood clean to remove fingerprints, this leads me to believe that stealing the CD faceplate was probably a ruse.
Kaitlin'smom replied: that stinks! call you ins co and see if its covered...........
Mommieto2Girls replied: Hi Daddy of Schnoogly.
I'm so sorry you guys are having a rotton day. I hope it not to expensive to fix everything. I don't know how people can do such things. Hugs to you all.
amynicole21 replied: AAArrrgh! How frustrating!! What is wrong with people?!?! I do hope your insurance company will cover the cost of replacing the part. I'm so sorry you guys have to endure this.
Schnoogly replied: Well the part costs $420 and our ins. deductable is $500. Guess I know what we're spending our child tax rebate on! Creeps! I'd go steal it back if I knew who did it!
On the good side we found a great mechanic, by accident. We hadn't had the car serviced since we moved here (except for oil changes which I get near my work 30 miles away) and I didn't want to drive the car very far with that light on. But these guys seem very nice, & honest and didn't treat me like a "woman" (I hate that from auto mechanics). They offered me a coke and everything while I waited. They had to order the part from the dealer but it should be fixed by the end of the day, so we can still visit my mom this weekend (2 hours away).
them who stole our stuff!!!
I've just always wanted to use that smilie.
Steph
PS DH has been reading posts a lot, but never posted himself! Now I have to watch what I say
catou_98 replied: Glad to hear things are looking a little brighter this afternoon!
and here's an extra hug for the both of you!
and sending some*******pain free teething******* vibes for poor little Iain! I hope he feels better tonight!
Mommieto2Girls replied: That really sucks but I am glad all is going to work out, now you and DH need to go hop in the tub and relax, maybe get a baby sitter and go have some fun.
CantWait replied: Sorry to hear about your day. Hope things get better.
supermom replied: So sorry you are having a bad, bad day - even if it did get your DH to post - and hope the rest of your week and weekend goes better.....
Oh, and BTW, cute new avitar!!
MomofTay&Sam replied: I am so sorry for you guys! I went thru the same thing last week but they did alot more damage, they took the car. Idiots! We work hard, we try to make a nice life and some SOB comes in and trashes it. Argh! I am so sorry and I know just how you feel.
MommyToAshley replied: I am so sorry... there are some real creeps in this world! I'm glad you found a good mechanic that you can trust, but it still stinks that you have to fork over the money. BUG HUGS!! I hope they catch the guys!
It's nice to meet you, DaddyofSchnoogly! I'm sorry it is under these circumstances!
