Update on the creepy dude

Needless to say, the owner was not happy and called the company to complain as well. He also stopped payment on the cheque he had written to the company and told them he was not writing a new one until this issue is solved to MY satisfaction. He so ROCKS!!! He also told me that the guy was going to get talked to about this whole thing this morning. I'm curious to know if anyone else has complained, if he's done this before, or whether I'm the unlucky "first".

The company's Field Operations Manager emailed me this morning and asked if I would meet with their Technician Supervisor. Not really sure what a technician has to do with this, but I was happy to receive a reply. I emailed him back and said that was fine, but I'm not letting anyone in my home again unless my DH is present.

He wants to meet in the next day or so, but DH has been working late and I don't know if they'd come that late or not. Either way, it doesn't really matter, it's either during business hours or nothing.

So there's my update, cross your fingers that DH isn't working late tomorrow and that everything goes well . I'm a little nervous

The Technician Supervisor would (I imagine) oversee the staff of technicians. So he would want to hear your story personally.

FWIW- I would have the Field Operations Manager in the meeting too- as high up on the chain as you can go. It's too easy for something like this to get buried under the rug if the true "decision makers" are not present.

And, while still being reasonable, they can come when it's convenient for you, not the other way around.

holley79 replied: Glad you complained. Just hope putting a Stop Payment on a check isn't a criminal offense in your area because he could be facing charges is the company pursues it. Here in the state of FL you can have criminal charges against you for doing that.

Teesa®© replied: DH finally came home and I read the emails to him. It occurred to me that in the first email from the company, NOT ONCE is there an apology or anything even remotely related to one.

When I emailed him back and said that DH would be late getting home today and I would be talking to him first to see what time he'd be late tomorrow, well first off, I'd emailed this guy back at NOON. DH doesn't come home normally till 3.15 - 3.20, and when he's late, it's not until about 7.20pm. He wrote me back and said he's looking forward to hearing from me "shortly". Huh? It was going to be several HOURS.

Am I reading into this too much or is he trying to push it? Like, yeah, I'd like to get this over with, but with my DH on board and present. I'm not in THAT much of a hurry to get this done.

Holley, the owner told them he was stopping payment on the cheque until this issue was solved. Then they'd receive payment. I don't believe this is illegal here and I doubt that the owner cares at this point anyway. He's

After this whole BS with creepy dude, I won't be letting ANYONE in my home again and I don't care WHO it is.

DH had emailed the guy and said that in spite of what had happened [with the creepy dude in our home], as far as he was concerned, it could all be dealt with through emails since he's working 12 hour shifts and not able to be here. The guy emailed him back and said he'd rather meet in person since it's too informal through emails and that he was going on vacation soon. I'm not sure what's happened after that, DH hasn't told me anything concerning this lately. I'll ask him when he gets home from work.
