There are so many girls named Emma on the scene right now, at least around where I live. It's like an Emma invasion. In Daniel's playgroup, which has six kids, two are named Emma. But who am I to talk!---Daniel's in the top ten, too! In overall beauty to hear spoken, Emma Grace is wonderful.

Erin is not being over-used right now, and neither is Hilary. I see a spunky, independent and happy girl when I hear this name, since Hilary is associated with laughter and happiness, and Erin as well---I imagine a smiling Irish face. You've chosen the traditional spellings for both names, which is something that appeals to me (I realize I am very old-fashioned about this). I might like a couple of the other options more if they were spelled traditionally, but that's just my preference---they are all lovely names actually. On the flipside, Elizabeth Ann is almost too traditional... I would choose that if I were naming her after someone in my family. I love the nicknames Beth or Betsy for Elizabeth.

Abbie: yes we would have a nickname for her, we just have to decide on a name.

Ben came up with another name yesterday that we both love! Samantha Lynn, we also like Caitlynn Payge, and Erin Hilary a lot too! Elizabeth Ann is ok too, just not one of my favorites, we chose this after Ben's younger sister who has cancer and dosent have much more time.
