mckayleesmom wrote: Mckaylee just came and told me that Neela was trying to bite her. I told her to tell Neela "no biting"...She walks off and I hear her say "Neela, no bite or I'll kick your a$$" ohmy.gif mad.gif . She is sitting in time out right now after I explained to her that its not a nice word for a little girl.

Bee_Kay replied: Sorry ... but I had to laugh. laugh.gif

Bee_Kay replied: Kids pick up on EVERYTHING!!

When Ash was just a little thing, my cousin and her husband were watching her one afternoon and she was in her carseat in the back.

She was asking for my cousin's husband (who was driving)... Here's the conversation as it was told to me:

Ash : Paul?
(no response)
Ash: Paul?
(no response)
Ash: PAUL!
Paul: What Munchie? (his nickname for her).
Ash: Ath-hole! (she couldn't pronounce her S's very good yet).

I have no idea where she picked this up, but she sure did from somewhere. If I remember correctly, she was around 2-2 1/2.

C&K*s Mommie replied: that makes me wonder about those babies (like in Meet the Fockers) that are trained to say certain words for movies or tv shows, how do the parents re-teach them that those words are not appropiate? hmmm.... bigthink.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
I know...I wondered that too....Because that little boy was obviously saying it.

I'm sorry, that's just so funny!!!

I think they all say that kind of stuff, whether it's pick-up from the parents (yes, I'm admittimg that we slip up and say bad words around Will sometimes), movies, other adults, even other kids. All we can do is teach them that it isn't nice, even if they hear other people using those words.

I do love to hear about your little girl... it makes me feel not-all-alone. biggrin.gif

CosmetologyMommy replied: LOL Make sure you tell mckaylee when she is older what she out you through lol!

My3LilMonkeys replied: ohmy.gif I am dreading the day Brooke comes off with something like that!
