i don't know if any of you remember, but in december things got pretty bad around here for me with some personal stuff and mostly financial stuff. we were on the verge of bancruptcy . well the answer to my prayers came today... TWICE! a few weeks ago, i went mad applying at every bar in my neighborhood trying to get a job (i am a bartender for those who don't know). nothing. i was so disappointed. then, 2 days ago, i did a search for a toddler bed in Etobicoke (my area of Toronto) and came upon this message board and found a lady who needed a PT sitter for her 6mo son. i called her and we agreed to meet today. it would be 2-3 nights a week (8pm-2am), $40/night. something is better than nothing and i am home and awake anyway.

while i was waiting for her to come this morning, one of the better bars i applied at called me and offered me a FT day bar job from 10am-6pm! i told him i really didn't want to do 5 days... well, he got me to agree to 4 days (tues-friday) and i meet with him tomorrow for the details . then Kerry (the lady who needs a sitter) came and hung out for about half an hour with her son and met Jade and Jamie and said she felt comfortable with me and gave me the job! so i will be working tues-fridays days at the bar, and thurs-sat at night with little Tyler! i am guaranteed to be making over $500/wk!!!!

i am so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

kimberley replied: not sure yet . i am hoping that i can get a hold of the lady who used to watch James. she is just up the street from me and i trust her. Jamie will have her until just before 1pm so she will only be there til i get off at about 6:30 or so. the boys usually get driven home by a lady i know and she is willing to keep them til i get off except for wednesdays. not sure how it will all pan out, but i will try to work on it this weekend. wish me luck!
