We are all stocked up - for the hurricane heading for us

On a funny note. Dh gave me a list of stuff to get and on the list was Denatured Alcohol. I asked what it was for...those stupid camp stoves he made out of pop cans.....Then he said "laugh at my ideas will ya"?..

grandma replied: Some of the survival stuff you can just stock pile for the next threat. And I do hope you won't need to use any of it!

First they said sometime next week..Now they are saying possibly tomorow. You should see all the stores right now..Everyone is stocking up. There were completely out of bottled water at Walmart..I had to drive to 4 differen't stores to get everything I needed..The propane was a disaster trying to find.

When I lived in a hurricane area - we just kept supplies on hand; the stores always get bare.

redchief replied: Stay safe, Brianne. I just finished getting the mayor's signature on the emergency proclamation for here, too. We'll keep you in our prayers. For us, the more recent forecasts seem to be saying the storm will take it fairly easy on us.

It will be there tomorrow cause it is off our cost right now. And we are getting the outer bands of it. I wouldnt be suprised if it upgrades today to a hurricane. Right now its still a tropical storm.

Ike is behind it but expected to go to the gulf.
