We changed out minds about the - house
mckayleesmom wrote: Dh got the application today, but we decided not to fill it out. The main reason is the pool. It would be cool to have a pool and all that jazz, but we have young kids and although they would have to get through a door and a screened room to get outside.....We do have Mckaylee as our daughter . Like I told Leithan...just the chance that the kids could get out there is a chance that we would lose and not one I want to take...kwim??? We are going to try to find something else without a pool for now. There is a similar house that doesn't have a pool and is 3 bedrooms instead of 4....We inquired about that one already. We will wait till the kids can both swim good before renting a house with a pool.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I think that is very wise! I hope you get the other house that you like.
BAC'sMom replied: Sounds like a good idea to me. Good luck on your search
kayla's mama replied: Sounds like a good rational decision. Good Luck on the house hunt!!!!!
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Good idea! Responsible parents thinking of their childrens safety first over the luxery of a pool.
mammag replied: Yeah, you probably would have been stressing about it a lot. I think you made the right decision. I'm sure the right house will come along soon.
C&K*s Mommie replied: Good decision!
holley79 replied: I totally understand that one. If we were to put in a pool I would have one of those new covers put on it that closes up and it kind of like a trampoline. It can hold up to 100 pounds and no way they are getting through it.
mckayleesmom replied: Exactly. Dh's mom has an indoor pool. She has a glass door that goes out to it and it locks at the top so the kids can't reach it, but it still makes me sooo nervous. Me and dh went out one night and I made him call to make sure the lock was on the door about 10 times....
CantWait replied: Hope you find something soon.
lisar replied: Great idea. When they are older and you can teach them then it might be a better idea.
J-rod replied: good luck on your search. im beating my head against a wall right now trying to find one. found a few but her and her mom dont want us to move there....cause there is a big bad hill to go over during winter to take the baby to MIL when she goes back to work...so we seem to be very limited in our search area.
best of luck to you!
Kaitlin'smom replied: VERY smart of you.
My2Beauties replied: Very smart of you. I want to own a pool someday but I would have a gate around it that has a lock on it and make sure that the door leading to the pool has locks at the top so that Hanna cannot reach them. Of Couse, by the time I own a pool she'll probably be going to college
C&K*s Mommie replied: And now that the housing market is supposedly "cooling", plus the fact that many people simply cannot afford the property insurance hikes due to the hurricanes here in the South, there is alot of property for rent and for sale- esp here in this city. You should have your options wide open. Best wishes.
