We got our van tonight!!

While we were chit-chatting with the salesperson Lucas walked into another saleperson's office, pulled the chair up and with the most serious look on his face said, "I want to drive a car." All he saw DH do was go into an office, sit down, and they gave him keys and we had a new car. I guess Lucas thought it was THAT easy and tried to get one himself.

I don't have very good pics right now but here's a few I snapped still on the lot with my cameraphone. An interesting feature is the key. It looks like a credit card... you insert it into a slot and push a button to start it.



Here's a pic of the dashboard. The speedometer is in the center of the dashboard vs. being right in front of the driver.


The a/c is on the door panels of all 4 doors.

Congrats on the new van! I LOVE IT!!! I love that color too.... that's the color I would choose for our next car/van!

It's a 2006 Renault Espace. I don't think the US sells Renault anymore. It has 5 individual seats in the back. Three in the middle row and two in the back row. All 5 can be removed. The center seat and one in the back can fold flat for a table surface. Here's a pic you can see that shows the seats. Btw, the steering wheel is on the left, the UK drives with them on the right.

Very cool. AS for steering wheel placement, I thought the US was the only place that had them on the left. I guess I never really paid attention.
