We had a Long Night
dolfinrse wrote: Last night, I think DH and I had a total of 3 hours sleep each! We put Zack to bed around 9 pm, his normal time, he woke up screaming around 11 pm. I held him for a few minutes and he passed out in my arms. DH and I went to bed around 11, and Zack woke up around 1 am screaming again. Everytime I would hold him he would go to sleep, but as soon as I put him in his crib he would wake up screaming. Finally, around 3 am, I brought him down on the couch and he laid on my chest and we fell asleep until 6 am when DH had to go to work. I ended up going to work late because I was so tired. We still haven't figured out why he was crying all night. The only thing I can think of is that he is getting more teeth. Hopefully, he will sleep all night tonight!
ediep replied: Jason went through a period like that....it lasted about 7 days or so. I don't know what it was but he woke up screaming every night. He didn't want anything, no water or milk, he just wanted to be held. Hope Zack lets you rest tonight
A&A'smommy replied: awww I hope you guys get some sleep tonight! ((((HUGS))))
MommyToAshley replied: (((HUGS)))
It could be teething, it could be milestones, it could be anything.... I know that can be so frustrating not to know. But, I hope he is feeling better and all of you get more sleep tonight.
Sending SLEEPY VIBES your way!
Mom2Boyz replied: Awwww that stinks!!!! Sorry you didn't get much sleep It's probably just teething, and hopefully he'll be back to his old self soon. I hope you and d/h are able to get some sleep tonight.
MomToMany replied: Hugs to you, Donna! It's so frustrating when you don't know what's wrong. Hopefully it won't last long. Hannah still has episodes like that, too. She just wants to sleep by Mommy.
coasterqueen replied: Hey you just described the last 20 months of nights for me, lol. I'm used to being a working zombie now.
Stinks though. Hope whatever is keeping him up goes away quickly and so you and Dh can get some sleep.
Kaitlin'smom replied: been there a few times myself...hopefully it was a one time thing and you all can get some sleep tonight
amynicole21 replied: Yep, been there - done that - have the bags under my eyes to prove it. I'm so sorry. I hope that he gets a good night's sleep tonight! And you do too!
PS, did you try giving him some motrin or something? When we go through this, I give her both motrin and mylicon drops... it's usually gas or some kind of pain. If it comes back in the morning we go to the doc
jem0622 replied: Really sounds like toofers to me. Especially if he doesn't have his molars yet or eye teeth. THEY HURT. My bf in Cali is going through the same thing and she is frazzled beyond belief!
HUGS
DansMom replied: Uggh, I know those kinds of nights. I bet it is teething! Hope things go a bit better for you tonight!
kimberley replied: awww ((((hugs)))) to all of you. i know how horrible those nights can be. i hope it passes soon and you get some rest tonight! tell DH it is his turn. lol
CantWait replied: I'm so sorry. Anthony does this on and off, sometimes just for comfort, sometimes I notice he's teething. I can feel the lump under his gums. I hope if it is teeth, they come in soon. Otherwise Good Luck with figuring it out
dolfinrse replied: We went through the same thing last night too. DH and I took turns getting Zack every few hours last night, but even though the other one had him, neither one of us slept. We gave him some Tylenol the first night, and that's is finally when he went to sleep, but I don't know if that is just because it makes him so drowsy. His ped. is off today, but if we have another bad night we will go tomorrow. We are thinking maybe ear infections, but he has never had one. First time for everything I guess. He has been pulling on his ears, but we don't know if he just discovered them. UGH, I hate that he can't tell me what is wrong!
