We must have tough kids
PrairieMom wrote: its gonna be a high of -12 today. -30 to -40 with wind chill.
And we have school. poor kids.
lisar replied: those poor babies. Sorry they have to go out in that
PrairieMom replied: ugh. I just got back from dropping the Boy off at school, he took his mittens off in the car, and couldn't get them back on. Why he has to take his stuff off in the car... it is literally a 1 minute drive to the school... ugh. So we had to wait while he struggled in a nearly 3 block long line of cars, holding everyone else up so he could get his mittens on... its probably a good thing he had school today. He really works on me when he gets like this, and I don't know if being trapped in this house all day with him would be a good idea...

Feel better now
youngmomofone replied: Wow, thats insane! And yea I'm glad my kid went to school today too as she has been driving me up the wall all weekend
moped replied: Yeah it is -22 F here today and the windchill is insane......no school here today but I am at work!!
TheOaf66 replied: yeah we have a high of 7 today
I had to sit outside for 20 minutes this morning till one of my doors thawed enough to open
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Yikes! Its warmed up to -10 here. I know Andrew is going to beg to go out and play today but I'm definitely not going to want to go out there! Our high for today is 0. I don't even know if he should be going out when it's that cold. How cold is too cold?
luvmykids replied: BRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!! At least our high, as pitiful as it is, is above zero today!
What I really hate about these days is they let them watch movies during recess time so they come home wild and full of it
punkeemunkee'smom replied: We are somewhere around 38* and dropping and WE are FREEZING!
High of -12* I am sorry but you people are C R A Z Y!!!!!!!!
PrairieMom replied: Apparently colder than -30 wind chill. Its gonna warm up to -12 today, so, you know... time to go to the beach.
TheOaf66 replied: golly Tara quit -12 is downright balmy
PrairieMom replied: I know... I always over react...
BAC'sMom replied: My kids went to school this morning in shorts and I am fretting them been cold this afternoon. The cold front has just gone through down here and it will be in the 40's by the time they get out of school.
to all you Northern folks
MommyToAshley replied: Brrrr! Those poor kiddos. They must be tough, I wouldn't go out in that cold.
I am pretty sure that they'd close school here if it were that cold. I think that is dangerously low temperatures. If they did have school here, I'd probably keep Ashley home anyways -- that's crazy!!
PrairieMom replied: ITA. it is super cold. They don't let them out for recess in this of course. I was mainly concerned about him getting from the van to the school, and from the school back to the van. He moves faster in the morning than after school... I have been worrying about him all day. I will feel much better after I pick him up and he is safe and warm in our house.
Swood75 replied: And I thought it was cold here..LOL..It is in the low 50's and raining..
MommyToAshley replied: It's good that he just has such a short distance to go to the van/school. What about the kids that have to wait for the bus and then walk from the bus stop to home? Those are the ones I feel badly for. Brrrr!
