Maddie&EthansMom wrote: How did everyone do this week? How do you feel? Did you exercise? If yes, what type of exercise did you do? How do your clothes feel on you? Last but not least...how much weight did you lose??

*If anyone else wants to join they can!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I am down 3 more pounds this morning. I have 2 scales and each of them reads something different. I have been following the WW plan. It is working really well for me. I feel great, my clothes are a little bit looser than they were. I've been exercising about 4-5 times a week. I'm doing some walk aerobics (hi/lo impact) and a little bit of strength training. It makes me feel better when I exercise.
How did everyone else do?
texasp3 replied: LOSER! LOSER! LOSER!
Well, last Wednesday I started "eating sensibly" instead of living on junk food. Man, how I let myself get so far out of control, I'll never understand! Then Monday I started on a serious, controlled, low-carb diet.
Yesterday I felt HORRIBLE - headeach from hell - happens everytime I cut sugar out when I've been eating too much of it. But today is day 3 and I feel ready to take on the world! Woo hoo!! Feeling grrreat! (we need a Tony the Tiger emoticon)
Exercise - chasing Gabriel Clothes - not cutting off the circulation anymore
Weight loss since last Wednesday... FIVE POUNDS!!! (Whoo - can you say "bloated"??)
And WTG Aimee!!! Yay, we're both BIG LOSERS!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: YAY MARIE!!!!
booey2 replied: Way to go Aimee , what a great way to start my day by seeing your post. Keep up the great work. Don't cha like it when you do something and it works. I WI tonight at my meeting so I will post those results later. As for exercise I have been doing 45 mins - 4 nights a week. Boy can you say numb bum. I am also following another version of WW they introduced it a while back, it is called CORE. I feel great, more energy, no stressing about points and love what I am eating. Have a great morning.
texasp3 replied: Tickercentral is down....
CAN'T. CHANGE. TICKER.
booey2 replied: Congrats on the great loss Marie. Keep on losing.
Kaitlin'smom replied: I AM A LOSER I AM A LOSER I AM A LOSER

Maddie&EthansMom replied: YAY!!!! I knew you'd lose that weight, Di!! WTG!

jcc64 replied: Down 4 lbs since getting serious. Exercising religiously, and feeling great about it! Cut out all the white stuff. Really missing my chocolate, but don't want to pay the price with my behind. Congrats everyone!
booey2 replied: Congrats, keep up the great work. I really miss my chocolate too. I bought some swiss chocolate and am going to have some after my WI tonight, wether I am up or down, but I think I will be down.
Kaitlin'smom replied: Congrats Jeanne
I was missing chocolate to but I got Diet hot chocolate and have that its 25 calories and with a bit of splenda its yummy
ammommy replied: Wow! Congrats to al the losers I haven't lost anymore weight, but my 12's fit me now so whoo hoo! Just 1-2 sizes to go by May.
Megan hasn't slept through the night since Friday night, so I just don't have the energy to exercise. I will do tricep and butt exercises while watching TV, though, so maybe that 's what is helping.
I poo-pooed the low carb diets when they first came out, but honestly cutting out white flour and processed sugar has made a huge difference in the way I feel. I think I'll stick with this even after I get down to the weight I want to be.
happy healthy eating everyone and chug that water
mammag replied: Well, I actually lost 2 lbs this week which surprised me because I hurt my foot last week and wasn't able to do aerobics all week. I did do some weight training though but I had to modify and not do squats. I was able to get into my size 4 Old Navy pants and actually wear them outside. I just had to wear a shirt that covered the top of the pants so that you can't see what got pushed up. But they weren't uncomfortable at all so that made me feel really good.
I think I'm going to try aerobics tonight and see how the foot feels. I'm not wearing the shoe anymore though and it feels good so I think I'll be fine! I've only got about 11 pounds left to lose but then I want to gain about 5lbs of muscle after that.

Didja know... low-carb has been on the diet scene since the '60s? DH and I discovered Atkins ten years ago and we were VERY skeptical at first. But we read the book (the original that's less rah-rah and more science) and it made sense to us. DH used to race bicycles and I used to work as a sports medicine trainer - so we weren't exactly clueless about nutrition and how bodies work.
Anyway... we gave it a try and it changed our lives a LOT. At the time I was 60 pounds overweight and under a doctor's care for high blood pressure, high cholesterol and high triglycerides. I was just approaching 30 and my doc was quite concerend and getting ready to put me on meds. I asked him to let me try this ONE thing for six months. Well.. six months later, I had lost 60 pounds and gone from a size 14 (16 really, but refusing to wear them) to a size 6. But more importantly, my BP was 12x/7x regularly, my cholesterol profile was perfect, and my triglyceride problem had vanished. It made a believer out of me AND my doctor!!
I don't believe that one diet is right for all people... but I do think the typical American diet is too high in processed carbs and that it causes a lot of health problems. I love those simple sugars with a passion though, and I still fight with myself because even though I KNOW they're going to make me feel awful and wreak havoc on my health.. I still fall off the wagon and into the Oreos!!
MomToMany replied: You guys are doing great!!! Keep up the good work!!!
No change here. I think we need a diffewrent scale. It is a brand new one, but everytime I get in it, it is a different reading, as much as 5 lbs. in one day. Oh well, maybe I have lost some, but it's hard to tell.
momof3angels replied: Wohooo!!! Congratulations to all the big LOSERS!!!!
Unfortunately I am the first non-loser Oh well. I am up 1 pound but that doesn't surprise me. I did awesome with exercise, I walked, rollerbladed and pilated all week, BUT my wonderful DH decided to buy a ton of junk food and I had no self control this week. If it wasn't bad enough that he had lots of sweets in the house, he also had lots of chips (boy were they good). I would have been OK with the sweets, but the salt did me in Oh well, the chips are gone and I am resisting the rest of the sweets (and making the kids eat them ) and starting a new week!

Way to go everyone CONGRATULATIONS to all the big LOSERS!!!!!
Jeanine remember everyone has set backs and we know you can do it ((((BIG HUGS))).
booey2 replied: Hugs to you remember that if you gain one week you will most likely lose it the next and with all the exercise you are doing you are probably building up some muscle. Take care and keep on track and it will come off.
momof3angels replied: Thanks for the support ladies! Yeah, I am not being too hard on myself, because I do know my weight will fluctuate-but I do need to lay off the sweets and salty stuff! lol Hopefully next weeks report from me will be better!
booey2 replied: Okay back from my meeting and I am down another half a pound. That wasn't so bad considering I blew last Thursday & Friday totally off the charts and only started the new CORE program on Saturday. I am quite please that I lost half a pound, but my ticker won't change til I am down a whole pound. Next week will be a bigger change.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I'm so proud of all of you....losers or not! I think you are doing a fantastic job. Just the fact that you are *thinking* about getting healthy says a lot! Here's to more of a loss next week!
Good luck everyone!
Kaitlin'smom replied: I second that
3_call_me_mama replied: Sorry i missed you on Wednesday, but according to my scales i'm down 9 lbs!!! (I think it's because i've been fighting a sinus infection and am going nonstop! (Plus Kahtleen is nursing like crazy- GROWTH SPURT!) But regardless, I'm happy about it, i only have 60 more lbs to go! I am hoping to feel well enough to go back to curves next week, can't do too much on the diet end except eat healthy cause of the Calories Kat needs but the excersize has helped, plus i can now fit into a pair of jeans that i haven't been able to wear since i got pregnant with Cameron!
