Well...DH got a "job"
MyLuvBugs wrote: He's sooooo not thrilled with it. Full time at Wal-Mart in the seafood section, $8.20/hr. But it's a job. The only sucky part is that he'll loose his unemployment, and after taxes with this job...he'll be making less than the unemployment. BUT it's a job, and it gets him out of my hair everyday. I just wish it was a job that he'd like and be happy with, KWIM?
Bee_Kay replied: I think that's wonderful! I don't believe in looking down on anyone that has a legit job!
Good for him!!!
A&A'smommy replied: congratulations!!! Sorry its not what he wanted but he can work his way up or work until he finds something better!!
Nina J replied: I think that's fantastic, congratulations to you DH. He can still keep applying for other jobs, maybe something else will come along, but at least if it doesn't he has his current job.
Just remind him there are thousands of people who would do anything for the job he has
coasterqueen replied: ITA!!!!!!
Congrats to your DH.
luvbug00 replied: Congrats to him. just tell him to keep looking ! has he tried the job websites like monster and stuff?? he should try.
mammag replied: Congratulations to him! I think we've all had to work a job we weren't thrilled with but it's not a forever thing. Who knows, it may end up being something he enjoys!
mckayleesmom replied: Congratulations!!....At least its something for right now. Maybe he will actually find that he likes it.
KingMom replied: Tell him to keep his head up and keep looking, something better will come along. Until then, it's a job
TheOaf66 replied: hey it is not a dream job but hey at least he is employed. I spent a year as a bank teller (with a college degree) so as long as he is contributing he has nothing to be bummed about. You do what you have to in able to support yourself.
BAC'sMom replied: Congrats
C&K*s Mommie replied: Congrats to him on a job period; he may find he enjoys it in the end, and can move up the ladder soon.
Kaitlin'smom replied: sorry its not his dream job, but congrats its a job and he can still look.
MyLuvBugs replied: Thank you all!! I totally agree with you all. It's not a dream job, but it's income. KWIM? And he is still applying for jobs that he'd love. In fact one of his friends at UNLV quit, so his job just opened up. We'll see what happens. maybe this is the path we are suppose to take for awhile. But I really appreciate your support.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: That's great news Erika! And like the others said, I think any job is better than no job (a legit one that is)! He can always keep looking for something he may enjoy more.
luvmykids replied: Yeah DH!
I think just having a place to be needed, responsible, accountable, etc will do a world of good for him. It's easy to get in a slump but it may be just the thing he needs right now! And it's not forever, bravo for sucking it up and doing what he's gotta do right now!
