Well I figured out - what is up with my hair....
punkeemunkee'smom wrote: I straightened it yesterday and the cut is really uneven and there is a HUGE gap on one side like she cut too much out of the bottom layer SO I called the salon and I have an appointment tomorrow morning to try and fix it. I am not worried it is hair it grows-Bill on the other hand is not too keen on the idea of losing more length I think I am shocking his poor system I have had LONG hair for as long as he has known me. I am taking another picture with me tomorrow of Lisa Rinna because the cut is that basic shape I am just going to have them layer the sides more evenly (one side has 2 more layers than the other side so when I did figure out out to get it to lay it looked crooked not to even mention the gap)....It really looks like I am trying to grow my hair out and it is not going well! I already told Karen that I should have stuck with Fantastic Sams but I wanted a really GOOD cut We shall see so wish me luck and good hair vibes-I have only returned once to have something fixed and that girl was a friend I am hoping I don't get scalped! She already was not the happiest-THank goodness I tipped good anyway the first time!
C&K*s Mommie replied: Hope it gets fixed the way you want it to be. It looked great before though (currently).
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Nicole Thank you! I was getting used to it but it looked kinda lopsided unless I messed with it for an hour so I got a good flat iron and found that piece and it is a BIG chunk and now that I know it is there is is bugging the tar outta me! I am really not usually this consumed with my hair but it is really bugging me!
kayla's mama replied: When you go back I hope they can fix it, but I think it looks great the way it is
Bee_Kay replied: Hope you get it the way that you want it!!
Lisa Rinna has a beautiful haircut! My hair was cut just like that.... but its now growing out again.
Are you gonna post a pic of your new style???
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I'm the same way. I hate getting a bad haircut! I become obsessed
I hope they are able to fix it to your liking tomorrow.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: I will post a pic tomorrow. Was it hard to fix? does your hair have any natural curl?
Here is the gap I am talking about-excuse my messy desk and my hair I just got out of the shower and let it dry naturally
punkeemunkee'smom replied: No Gap....
luvmykids replied: Hope you get it the way you want!
Bee_Kay replied: My hair used to be as straight as can be.... after having children, I was blessed with natural wave.
I love having the shorter choppy layers. Very easy to style and maintain.
All I'd do is.... after a shower, Id put some spray gel or scrunching spray in it... and some root lifter around the crown, and blowdry (upside down for the last minute to get some extra body.
When blowdrying, you can use a large barrel brush to do the flips.... or you can use a large barrel curling iron and create choppy flips.... or do both.
The thing I love about that cut us that it is VERY versatile. You can flip it out..... or curl it under. You can get away without curling it (blow styling is wonderful sometimes). You can also air dry and go natural (like in your pic). It's a SUPER cute haircut. You can use cute little clips.
I see the gap you are talking about. Should be fairly easy to blend it in without losing any more length.
Good luck! I can't wait to see it!!!
I have had so many different hairstyles (not mohawks or anything LOL). The Lisa Rinna haircut is so far my favorite! But, I am again trying to grow it back out now.
Bee_Kay replied: Here is another haircut I had that I really loved
haircut
punkeemunkee'smom replied: That cut is what I wanted the first time but got talked out of it 2 times because it was such a drastic change. Do you have bangs?
Bee_Kay replied: I do have bangs. I am (for the millionth time) trying to grow them out.
Right now, if I pull them down they go to the tip of my nose.... they are right at the point where they are annoying, but I am trying to stick it out.
Another thing I don't like about growing them out..... is that I have a widows peak
luvmykids replied: Abbie, that would look so great on you!!! It is drastic, but I think you can totally pull it off! And I think it's only drastic from what you had before, what you have now I don't think is too far from it.
I have that exact Martina pic on my fridge trying to decide if thats what I want!
Bee_Kay replied: I loved that haircut when I had it. Very easy and low maintenance. I bought some Vavoom hair wax to separate and make the choppy layer look (get rid of the POOF... I have incredibly thick hair).
