amynicole21 replied: You know, after this hurricane they might be hurting for business. I would check back at the rates on Monday and see what you can find. Since this weekend is the last real vacation weekend of summer, and they are going to be losing a TON of money because of cancelations, you might be able to find a bargain.

Alice replied: Could you try calling the hotel after Monday and explaining your problem to the manager?? Maybe he would be willing to give you the old rate as opposed to letting the room go empty.

And what's that site that William Shatner does the ads for-- you name your own price and see if they accept it?? Obviously I'm not real familiar with it, buy maybe it's worth a try.

If not, shop around and come up with some places you CAN afford, and present the options to your husband.

Kaitlin'smom replied: I have been looking at different hotels....and yes your right he could care less except for a few small things he wants and I want, I am looking all over to see what I find, I have a couple hotels I watch that on on my ok list. I am just getting kinda tired of looking, making the list, comparing...ect its all becomming way more than I want to do, and time is becoming a problem now. I am sure we will figure something out, even if we stay home
