~~AvaMcKaylasMom~~ replied: Well I guess he told you. Ava is still young enough that all I get when I let her sleep with me are little feet pounding my back at 5:30 in the morning.
~~AvaMcKaylasMom~~ replied: I forgot, I was going to ask you about your siggy...I see you mention rodeoing. Is your whole family involved? Is that Tanner in the steer riding picture? I ask because I grew up rodeoing. It was always my passion! I've got horses now, but not much time to actually rodeo anymore. I think it's really cool that you let your kids do it!
TANNER'S MOM replied: Rodeo is our life...lol
Randy rodeo'd and rode bulls for many years until he a severe accident. I ran barrels for years..umm until my oldest was about 8.
My daughters aren't that into it.. they play day some and I hope they come back around soon. One has the most awesome natural horse ability. You know it's a gift..some people are just BORN to ride.
And my son's all ride horses. But Tanner who is 7, has the Real Natural Ability again. He rides roughtstock, ihad been doing some break away roping and goat tying.
All my kids rode before they walked. I can remember taking Tanner on his first ride when he was 6 weeks old and I could stand to straddle the saddle..lol
I am glad we have something in common, and thanks for asking.

That's awesome! My husband was never did much rodeoing - mostly because they lived in the middle of nowhere and were several hours from any rodeos. He grew up on a cattle ranch and has been training horses since he was old enough to ride. He actually still has a mare that he trained almost 15 years ago when he was pretty young. It was always a love/hate relationship between them - he says he could never sell her because she's the only horse who could buck him off every time she tried. His mom begged him to sell her when he was in high school because she was such a rebel, and his mom didn't think he was going to live to see his graduation day if he kept riding her. He still has her to this day though, and she's become an invaluable part of our family. In fact, I posted a picture in the picture assignment of DH holding Ava on that mare.
Hopefully your daughters will get back into horses soon. I firmly believe that horses are the best thing a young girl can have. I grew up with them and spent every spare minute I had with them from the time I was little till I graduated from high school. I have 2 sisters that were into riding for a while, but lost interest in their early teens. My best friend that lived close to me was just as much into horses as I was, so we grew up traveling to rodeos and fairs. I want Ava to be able to have the same experience!
This will probably sound weird - but we actually bought Ava her first ponies when she was only 4 months old. lol DH was just in such a hurry to get her on a horse, so now we've got 3 ponies from miniature to mid-sized just waiting for her to grow up. She gets to sit on them a lot and has learned how to feed them handfulls of grass, but that's about it.
Ok, sorry to blab your ear off. Your kids are very lucky that they get the opportunity to do this!
TANNER'S MOM replied: Girl! You can't blab my ear off when it comes to horses to rodoe's.
Hours and Hours of talking we can do.... I am sure we will the chance..
BTW: I love Ava's name. It is soo pretty.
