Well no heartbeat yet - but dr. isn't at all concerned

5littleladies wrote: I had an ultrasound today. Saw the yolk sac and fetal pole. I'm measuring around 5.6 weeks which is almost exactly where I guessed it at. (see my ticker ) Like I said we didn't see a heartbeat but I know even a day can make a difference at this early stage and my ob is very optimistic so I am doing my best not to worry. I have another appointment scheduled for 3 weeks from now so we will see what we see. Oh and my ob wants me to start taking a baby aspirin everyday to reduce my chance of developing a blood clot which *could* have been a factor in my losing David. She also seemed to think my progesterone level of 17.5 was nothing to worry about but said I should stay on the supplement because it can't hurt and could help. All in all it was a good visit. I'm just taking it one day at a time.

Crystalina replied: Your still early enough and he's right, I wouldn't worry about the heartbeat at this stage. They say it's there but hard to hear.
