Well, thats strange.
PrairieMom wrote: I finally made it back to my pre-prego weight! It took me nearly 9 months! Actually, I am one pound lighter that my previous weight. So, its strange that I can't wedge my butt into my old clothes. Huh. Apparently this stupid diet I am on is good for the weight loss. I'm switching my goal, and will try to loose another 5 pounds or so.
coasterqueen replied: It's called your hips spread too much Happened to me more the second time than the 1st. Any pants that aren't 'stretchy' I can't fit into when I should be able to by now. All my stretchy type ones I can. Sucks!
PrairieMom replied: Actually its my thighs. LOL. I don't even know about my hips, I can't get pants up that far! My waist is skinny tho, I have to wear a belt to keep my pants from falling down. How annoying. Hopefully the weather will warm up soon so I can wear skirts. With my first pregnancy my ribs spread, so now my chest is broader that before.
ZandersMama replied: I have the same problem. And this time, i only got to 26 weeks, had a c-section, and my hips are still spread. Although to be fair I haven't lost all the weight yet, good for you! My ribs spread the first time too, i'll never understand that one.
moxee24 replied: I would tend to think that like our hips, the growth of the baby makes things move and as the baby gets bigger our insides are pushed out of the way up into our ribs...hence the spread. I never asked the Doc about that but that would be my logical thought about it.
lovemy2 replied: I actually weigh less now than when I got pregnant too (about 4 lbs) but everything went south so most of my pants don't fit, etc. I think your whole body shifts after pregnancy!!!!! Maybe try a different "cut" of pants, jeans, etc....?
grapfruit replied: What kind of diet are you on? Is it hard or easy to follow??
Calimama replied: Congratulations!!
PrairieMom replied: OMG. It is the most horrible diet. I will make a seperat post about it, I acutally should update on it anyway.
grapfruit replied: I remember actually (now that I read your other post ) Sounds like a super bummer
holley79 replied: I noticed this the other day. I'm not real happy about it.
PrairieMom replied: sad isn't it? On the bright side, I went through my closet yesterday and all my skirts and dresses fit, nlthough, I have to suck my belly in quite a bit for some of the dresses yet.
holley79 replied: Well we are taking a cruise in May and I hope to heck I can get some of those weight off. I don't want to look like a beach whale on the deck.
