What a night and morning! PART II - Update....the day only got worse.
Crystalina wrote: So I left my last post with one deceased dog (not yet buried), a goat with his head stuck in the fence and a litter of puppies....
Another death mentioned:
The goat finally calmed down but his head was still stuck when I had to go pick up DH from town. He'd been driving all night back from Detroit and had a list of things to do already. None of them could wait. So we pull in the driveway and I find my horse is down! She has cushions disease and no matter how much we feed her her body just makes too much adrenaline. She's been doing okay though until yesterday. DH and I went right away to sit her up. It looks like she'd been there awhile and with all the other stuff I had going on I never noticed her down. We never got her to the standing position and when we got her sitting up she only used all her force to push us away and lay back down. She was coughing and I'm sure her own weight was crushing her and with her disease that was slowly killing her I just looked at DH and said she was done. There was no use fighting her and she just had a look like she was done. I took the kids for a 20 minute drive while DH did what he had to do. Late last night he buried her....and spot. I know it was best for her but it's still so .
We got the darn goat out also and NO, none of those puppies are staying!!! She was scheduled to be spayed when the vet said he thinks she was already pg. Our luck. We didn't want to abort the puppies so we now have 8 little beagles who will not be named and we will NOT get attached to.
Sometimes I wonder why God gives us days like I had yesterday.

Boo&BugsMom replied: I wish I lived closer. I am a sucker for Beagles and would take one in a heartbeat. Sorry about your horrible day.
Calimama replied: I'm so sorry, I can't even begin to imagine how hard it is to lose a pet.
sparkys2boys replied: Oh Crystal, I am so so sorry about your horse hun
How are the kids doing with it also??
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Crystal I'm so sorry. What a horrible and very sad day for you. Hearing about your horse made me cry.
BAC'sMom replied: I'm so sorry
stella6979 replied: I am so sorry Crystal. I hope things start to brighten up for you soon.
Crystalina replied: The kids are doing really good. I let them walk over and say goodbye to Cocoa before we went on our drive. They knew why we were leaving and what was going to happen to her. They knew she was sick. And the same with Spot. We've talked and talked about the day we would have to put him to sleep but we kind of wanted God to do it for us and he did. They noticed right away the next morning that he was not in his kennel and I told them that he had died in his sleep. They were okay with it I guess. Izabella said that at least he wasn't in pain anymore and she's right about that.
Crystalina replied: Thanks. I don't think there was a full moon that night but I would swear there was one.
HuskerMom replied: I'm so sorry!
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Crystal I am so sorry! Sometimes it is like they all sense when to let go...I don't know why but it always does seem to come in sets! I know how much you love your animals and I know this is hard on you. My heart goes out to you!
Congrats on the puppies....even though they will remain un-named and will not reside with you! I only laugh because Taylor and Izabella are about the same age and there is only one concern we have with future breeding.....I don't want 4 or 5 Yorkies in the house!

Crystalina replied: No you don't want 4 or 5 yorkies in the house. I have 7 of them! I kept the last yorkie litter. Dumb me. They aren't bad because I have them kennel trained. They have to be kennel trained because a yorkie doesn't have the brain capacity to remember from one day to the next not to use the house as a bathroom. They stay in the kennel and as soon as the kennel door opens they run for the door.
Yorkies are like chips, you can never have just one.

TANNER'S MOM replied: I am so sorry. I know you were fighting to keep her healthy and I know you loved her. It's hard to watch them get old. I am sorry b/c I really know your pain. It hasn't been that long ago since I lost one and I can still cry and tear up when I go in the pasture and she is gone. I hope you get some rest and sorry about all your loss.
Rest in peace sweet animals!
My2Beauties replied: I'mso sorry about your horse!
