Anywhoo that is besides the point, poor Brian, my DH has such bad luck, nomatter what he does he just can't get ahead. He gets home Friday from West Virginia at around 5:00, he met me at home. Everything was great. Let me explain a little before I tell you what happened. We live on a dead end street, the end of the street has a slope on it, so it's uphill when you're going towards the dead end, downhill going away from it (obviously)! So he hadn't even been home but for 2 hours, and our neighbor comes knocking on our door, he said Brian man you need to come outside and see this - it's really important. Another guy who was visiting his friend had parked his truck on the slope against this curb, it is a 1976 Ford F150, well it jumps out of gear and smashes Brian's car. His wheel well (however you spell that) is touching his wheel now - of course he can't drive it anywhere so now he doesn't have a car to get back to West VA in. The guy gives us an insurance card and everything. He was really apologetic. Brian wasn't really mad about it because he has an older car too - a 1986 Chevy Caprice Classic, nice condition, only 57,000 miles on it and he had been wanting to get it painted and stuff. So I said babe look at this as a blessing in disguise at least now you can get your car painted and stuff for free, right? WRONG We call the insurance company Saturday morning and the butthole has no insurance, it had lapsed not even 3 days prior to the accident We didn't know what to do, this guy lives in a completely different county! So, later on that day the guy comes back by our house and he was like ma'am (Brian was running an errand) I am so sorry, he gave me this big story about how his mom and dad and him and his little brother are all on the same insurance, his mom and dad are getting a divorce and they are on his dad's side so to be a jerk she cancelled all their insurance - ok I'm sorry and all but how are we going to have our car fixed He had no idea his insurance was even cancelled until he called the insurance company that morning. He says he works on cars and stuff so he'll do the work for us. Brian only has liability on that old car so the only uninsured motorist coverage that he has is for bodily injury - not for damage to his car, can't get a rental with liability neither! So we're basically stuck! So Brian had to take his tire off his car and beat the wheel well up off his tire with a hammer, it wouldn't come out, so it's only about 3 inches from the tire. He couldn't drive it up to West VA because he said there is all kinds of construction giong on up there, if he hit one pothole or something - his tire would pop! So Brian had to take my car, Brian's dad took his car and I have Brian's dad's car. His dads car is ok but it's not my car and we wouldn't trust it to get to West VA neither, it'll get around town just fine but it's one of those - you know check the water and the oil every few days type cars, it always says Low Coolant and Service Engine soon and the gas tank goes up and down I'm finding this sort of humourous now. Anyways, poor Brianno one else had a reliable enough car to get up there - except me, I married into a family who all has poopy cars! His mom's car is 10x worse, I know because it's my mom's old car she bought from her. Sorry this was so long - I just wanted to vent. I don't know how we're gonna get his car fixed now! This really stinks!
