What are your kids favorite - songs

Everytime he hears it he comes running to sing along. I found him a bear that spun around and sang it for Valentine's day and he sang with that sucker through the whole store.

Just now I clicked on it on youtube and he came running in the room to sing along.



Mckaylee loves most Kelly Clarkson songs. I usually buy her those kid bop versions.

Kylie LOVES that song. A lobbyist in our office gave me a copy of the "song" before it even hit big on the radio and I played it one day and Kylie was instantly in love with the song.

Otherwise the girls don't really have any favorite songs.

We don't listen to the radio just the Christian stations so ... she normally sings along but no song in particular!

And their favorite song together is "Heroes" by the Wallflowers

MommyToAshley replied: This reminds me of something funny that happened with Ashley... at least I can laugh now. She was in preschool at the time. She had joined the church club, Awanas, that met every Wednesday night. At the end of the meeting, after the meeting/activities with their own age group, all the kids from preschool to high school would gather in the sanctuary for a short message and then were dismissed to the parents. One week, the youth pastor was passing time, waiting for one of the older groups to get to the sanctuary, so he was asking some of the kids what their favorite song was and had them lead the group in that song. Well, in Ashley's group, one kid said, "ABC's" and another kid said, "Jesus Loves Me". When they got to Ashley, I was sure she was going to say the Barney song (at this time she sang it all the time). But, to my surprise she leaned over and said into the microphone for everyone to hear, "Satisfaction". The youth pastor looked at her puzzled and said, "I don't know that song", so Ashley started singing the rolling stones, "I can't get no sat-is-faction. I try, and I try, but, I can't get no satisfaction" I could feel my face turning bright red. She had never heard that song until the brief car ride over to the church.... but, apparently it was her new favorite song. I learned my lesson that very day to be careful what I listen to on the radio or watch on TV. LOL


Now, she listens to all kinds of music (age appropriate -- LOL), but I will have to ask her what her favorite song is. I am hoping her answer will be different this time.

Danalana replied: Kade's favorites are songs that most of you have probably never heard of. My mother sang them to me when I was a kid. I have also made up quite a few and he loves them I try to include the words "Kade", "Tigger" (his stuffed Tigger is his lovey and what he always sleeps with) and "Mama" He seriously loves my songs, though. Also, some songs I can get by with, but that used to be favorites, are "Twinkle Twinkle" and "You Are My Sunshine".
