What cell phone company do you use?

TheOaf66 wrote: We have US Cellular right now and I don't like it so what does everyone else have and how do you like it...I am looking at Verizon and Nextel (Sprint) right now. Any thoughts?

lisar replied: I use Nextel and love it.

BAC'sMom replied: Sprint

whitting713 replied: Alltel prepaid plan.

Twelve Volt Man replied: I had Verizon in the past. In my opinion, you can't beat their coverage area, but I didn't care for their customer service. I switched to Nextel, because the direct connect feature is extremely convenient for me at work. Their coverage doesn't seem to be as good, but is continuously improving.

stella6979 replied: I had Sprint, but hated it. I underpayed them by $.01 and they cut my phone off without any notice. I was eight months pregnant at the time and I'm just glad I didn't need it before I realized it wasn't even working. I also went through 3 phones during the year that I was with them. dry.gif DH and I both have Metro PCS now, and we haven't had any problems so far.

hopefulmomtobe replied: Cingular, but I think personally they are expensive.

I have 3 cell phones on my account, pay about 120.00 a month, with 900 minutes.

Danalana replied: We have cingular and love it.

555-DANA
everybody call me smile.gif

luvbug00 replied: T mobile, ehh it's ok

Calimama replied: T-mobile and I love it.

moped replied: I am the only person on the planet that doesn't have a cell phone! tongue.gif

msoulz replied:
ITA with that. I have had Nextel through my employer for probably 10 years now and it has improved tremendously, especially in the past couple of years. Oddly though, connection at my house is so-so despite living about 1/4 mile from a major highway that they claim to cover end to end. Nextel can tell you where their signal is strong and week down to the street level and for some reason my street is marginal at best - but it has improved, perhaps when I upgraded my phone. So if you want to use it at home, ask them at a store to show you how the signal is at your place. They actually showed me a map on the computer.

DH has Verizon and it is quite good to him.

PrairieMom replied: Sprint, but I'm not overly impressed with them.

lovemy2 replied: Verizon - can you hear me now? rolling_smile.gif

grapfruit replied: Cingular, and they're not bad. I've had Sprint in the past (like 5 yrs ago) and didn't like them at all. My phone would be all the time switching between roaming and regular service area. Of course roaming charges are more...

I've heard other people not liking Sprint either.

Our Lil' Family replied:
Same here!

boyohboyohboy replied: I had sprint, and had a really hard time with customer service, and then the phone too.....
also had a hard time buying out that contract to get rid of them

I have cingular now, and love it, but it does seem expensive. I have never in three years had a dropped call.

hoosier momma replied: Verizon and I love it. They have the best coverage for the rural area I live in. I used to have AT&T/Cingulair and couldn't get a signal until I was about 10 miles away from my house.

Kaitlin'smom replied: sprint, its not bad, the service has been really good even at MIL farmm but you have to keep on top of your bill and customer service if you have anything wrong with it. took me 4 months to get a charge to not only stop but credited.

BabyOwen427 replied: I had Cingular but the customer service SUCKS! And they're expensive (IMO), but I never did lose a call.

Now I have T-Mobile and I love it. Customer service is great and they're not bad priced, and in two years I've never lost a call.

mom21kid2dogs replied: We have Cingular. It was the first service we had like 6 years ago and we've never once had an issue with them. I got Verizon when IOlivia was born because the service coverage was reportedly better in our area. The would have been fine if I wasn't getting slapped with roaming charges when calling from my house. They always took them off until I reupped my phone~suddenly it was my problem according to them. CS was pathetic. Although I rarely do this, I had my husband write them on his legal stationary to get me out of the contract. They let me out and I have pledged my love for Cingular ever since! rolling_smile.gif

same here smile.gif

cameragirl21 replied:
ditto. i've had sprint for years, my godson's mom used to work for sprint. wink.gif
i think it's expensive but i have both my phone and my mom's on my account, sharing minutes, have 2500 minutes a month (which i always use up and sometimes go over) and pay about $160 a month.
i think their customer service is less than perfect, although it really depends on the person who answers and it's gotten so much better now that they outsource to the philippines. laugh.gif
i've thought about switching but for what i need they are the cheapest. if i didn't travel and need to be able to use my phone anywhere in the US then i'd probably consider switching to metro pcs, which is WAY cheaper from what i can see.

luvmykids replied:
And I am so jealous rolling_smile.gif Most days I'd love to flush mine down the toilet!

Verizon and love it. Great coverage, great plan, great service.

MotherForever2043 replied:
rolling_smile.gif Dito. I used to have Nextel but then I switched to Verizon. It's great!

My3LilMonkeys replied: Nextel - I really like it. Coverage is pretty good in our area, and I like that there is no roaming. The biggest problem I have is that if we are in a weak signal area and I am on the phone and DH gets a call, it will drop both calls.

DillsMommy replied:
Really? I have t-mobile and don't love it so much. I drop calls all the time and lose service all the time.

Miranda1127 replied: verizon expenseive but great coverage
