What did you put in your childs - Easter Basket????
mckayleesmom wrote: We were rebels. Instead of getting Mckaylee and Easter Basket...we got her an Easter Wheel Barrel.... . The only Easter Baskets they had left were expensive and not worth it. So I thought the wheel barrel was cuter. I had been eyeing it for a while anyways. And we got her ring pops..but thats the only candy we got her. We got her new purple shoes, a stuffed pig and stuffed cow (she picked them out actually) and new socks and sand toys to go with her wheel barrel.
Jamison'smama replied: In Jamison's basket will be--A puzzle, a Dr. Seuss book, bathtub crayons, playdough, and some eggs filled with veggie crackers, cereal, raisins and veggie booty.
Her daddy got her a chair--so cute but she got it early since she was with us when we bought it.
Edited to add a picture of the chair that is in the background as she is sitting on a drum instead--typical!
mckayleesmom replied: Mckaylee was with us too,,but we don't have a choice...we don't have family to watch her. We aren't going anywhere so I didn't buy her an Easter outfit. I will Probably go back and buy one after Easter for her 1st B-day pics, but other then that I will just put her in a dress she already has.
alice&arik replied: Wow guys, I just got Arik one of those baskets from Wal Mart with the cars in it, (one big one and 3 smaller ones). I also got him an Easter Egg hunt book, and a fish(his last one died) it is a Beta. The basket from wal mart doesn't have much candy in it, mostly hard candy, no chocolate, I think he is allergic to it...he gets diahrrea within an hour he eats it. Then his butt gets raw and he screams all day. No matter how much cream i use on it. The other day he ate only half a chocolate chip cookie and he had it. So no more.
It's too bad though if he is, my mom always used to get us the biggest chocolate easter bunny she could find, and i thought that would be fun to do for him when he is older. But who knows.
Sorry I rambled.
shannon75 replied: thats so funny to see this cuz I just sat down from putting them together and then I hid them for them to find in the morning. Plus Im eating some of the left over skittles
My oldest son I got him a beyblade, kite, bubbles and candy My dd I got this barbie light kite, bubbles and candy my youngest ds a helicopter (he loves them) bubbles, and some candy
The only think wal mart had left was expensive, noncute baskets that I could see my kids tearing up in seconds so I bought this $1 utility basket which can be used for my daughters hair bows, my son can put whatever in it and my youngest I just might have to steal in a few days and use it for me. LOL Im so mean
3_call_me_mama replied: Great minds must think alike! We got cameron an Easter wheel barrow also! WE got him some gardening tools, a watering can, a rake, some little garden gloves, some seeds, a coloring book, a pack of peeps and an easter board book. We are doing an egg hunt in the morning before dinner with his cousin and there is a little people toy for him to find along with eggs filled with trail mix, a couple jelly beans and a few foil wrapped chocolate eggs. He's getting baskets from both grandparents as well so we decided that minimal candy adn outside toys would work best... but I had to put peeps in because i always got them as a kid (even though I hated them!!)
mckayleesmom replied: ....I think the basket weren't very great this year...so we went with the wheel barrel...she is too young to tell. Plus she will get more use with the sand toys and watering can when we plant a garden this summer.
3_call_me_mama replied: Exactally what we were thinking! He loves to be in the garden with us so now he can actually help... well sort of!!
amynicole21 replied: Sophia got sunglasses (which she has already broken ), sidewalk chalk, a coloring book, a purse, stickers, a piggy bank and a balloon. She keeps saying boo-loon! It's very cute
dolfinrse replied: We got Zack some Elmo videos, a summer outfit, a mini Chicken Dance Elmo, and 2 Easter Beanie Babies. And some of his favorite baby foods - Mac & Cheese!
megsmommie replied: Lets see, I bought all kinds of bubble stuff. The kids love bubbles. Tons and I mean TONS of candy. Ok, I didn't really buy otns, my relatoves did. Lots of squirt guns. They love these things and Walmart had a pack of 7 for $0.88. They also got Bionicles, and little motorcycles from American Choppers. And plush TY beanie babies from my work. In all they did VERY well.
KatieLeigh79 replied: John's basket is still unopened in the living room *lol* I figured he would crawl over to it this morning and play around until he got into something but he just keeps crawling past it and trying to eat the couch... I think he's a hamster, he tries to eat anything fabric or paper like.. The other day the phone rang, I jumped up to grab it and turned around to find him eating a phone book I had on the corner of my desk His basket though isn't really a "basket" its a small little wooden box in a bunny shape, I started to late this year and actually had it in the guest bedroom as a decoration so inside that I put 6 books, a box of animal crackers, 7 pairs of socks, 2 toddler bibs (his head don't fit into any of the smaller ones anymore) a stuffed toy car and little ABC shapes that you can put Jello in to harden into shapes, or I figure he can just play with them in the bath tub because after I got them I realized he isn't to fond of how Jello wiggles...
Guess I will make him try to open it when we get done with dinner tonight *lol* Will be more fun to watch him eat an Easter cupcake I bought for dessert.. he has yet to be allowed to play with something like that, will probably have the bath ready with water before we start in on that little adventure!
amynicole21 replied: Hee hee!! Neither am I
MomToJade&Jordan replied: Yeah sunglasses don't last too long in our house either. I think Jade has broken every pair she has come in contact with.
paradisemommy replied: Taven got a little basket with a bucket and shovel/sifter for the sand, some playdoh, plastic eggs filled with peanuts and elmo fruit chews and teddy grahams, 4 little wind up bunnies/chicks that hop , some little cards (games) and a couple chocolate bunnies (really small ones) but he's really good about eating candy..he gets his fill and he's done. he's great at sharing with everyone!!

MilMunchMOM replied: Hi All and Happy Easter...sorry I haven't been on in a while, things have been very busy! It was a crayola year for us..I always make my own baskets, it's easy with those big bags. Bubbles, paints, gel pens, glue, colored pencils, Peeps (of course) Kari calls them peep peeps lol, paper, brother bear dvd, oh yea and fuzzy posters to color. They were thrilled!! They used thier new stuff to make Grandma an easter card. **The wheel barrel is a great idea**
juliajaj replied: Here's what we gave Olivia:
Coloring book, coloring crayons, construction paper, scribble pad Playdoh Sidewalk chalk Peter Cottontail book Picture of Jesus surrounded by children for her bedroom My Little Pony (I took the brush & other small pieces out of the box before giving it to her since they looked like a choking hazard) Spinning Swimming Hippos tub toy by Tomy - a BIG HIT (I was nervous about her other tub toys that have holes in them & the mold news, so we threw those out) Six plastic Easter eggs filled with Baby Goldfish, Mini Teddy Grahams, yogurt raisins, corn squares (small, puffed cereal squares that are very airy), Elmo fruit snacks & pastel marshmallows) A small hallow Easter bunny (I think Daddy will end up eating this since she hasn't had candy before).
