What do you do to take time for yourself?

5littleladies wrote: I rarely, if ever, get a chance to take time out for myself and even if I had time I don't know what I would do. What do you do when you have time for just you? How do you even manage to get that time in the first place??

booey2 replied: Hi, the only real time to myself is Monday nights when I go to my ww meeting. I was taking a little bit of time to myself after the kids went to sleep at night and I was able then to work out and get some exercise in. Other than that I have no time to me and it sucks .

amynicole21 replied: Well, personally I go shopping I do work full time, so can get some Non-Mommy time in there during lunch breaks, etc...

During the summer, we work a flexible schedule. I can work 4 10hr days and take one day a week off. I usually send Sophia to daycare that day and take the whole day to get stuff done. Can't wait until summer!!!!

coasterqueen replied: Well, Dh would say getting on the boards or the chat I have with some poeple on Monday night is my "ME" time, but it sure doesn't feel like it, lol. Other than that my "me" time is cleaning, doing laundry or going to get groceries.

MomToMany replied: LOL, I don't know what "me" time is! If I do have any time to myself, it's spent cleaning or doing laundry or other housework. If I had none of that to do, I wouldn't know WHAT to do!

kimberley replied: being able to sleep on my back or tummy as long as i can! that is the best ME time ever! no DH groping me or DD rooting for nummies!! lol

Kaitlin'smom replied: gee whats that? well a one day a week I dont go over at lunch to see Kaitlin so I get sometime then to go run errands.

I am getting my nails done next week does that count?

chloe&tysmommy replied: everyday when Chloe's napping I log on here I need that time just to relax...lol but now with the baby coming I may not get time to do that...

I don't get a lot of 'me' time that much either, and when I do (like when she's asleep for the night) I try and get the house cleaned up or I end up working on something.

But if I did have some time to myself I'd go shopping

CantWait replied: usually take a bubble bath or go on the computer for a bit. If I wanna just get away I take the car, crank up the music and go to the store. I like to drive so that usually relaxes me a bit.

jen replied: I plan keeping my Spa Pedicure Appointments. I love them. If you haven't had one I highly recommend! it is worth it! Just make sure you go to a place that has a good reputation and sterilizes their "instruments" I have one at the front of my subdivision and it takes roughly an hour! so I can feed Maddy and then haul buns to my appointment and back while DH watches her . Other than that, getting online and taking a bath probably!!

MomToJade&Jordan replied: My ME time is usually while Jade sleeping. During that time I will watch a movie or read. I also take this time to check the board and chat with firends.

MommyToAshley replied: ME time? What's that? I watch Ashley during the day and answer/make business calls, but then I usually work when she is asleep. So, I don't get much ME time. However, every now and then, I do take a nap with Ashley. DH and I like to game (online PC games) but we don't get a chance to do that very often these days.

Elle replied: Time for yourself?? What's that? I gave up trying to get some time for myself when Juliet was born (she won't leave me alone for one minute! And neither does Brighton! Heeeeelp!!!! )

mummy2girls replied: Well for me its really hard to get time to myself from jenna. Because she comes to work with me and then comes home with me after work and on the weekends when its daddy time with her im also there So my only time i get to myself is when jenna is in bed at night. I put her to bed between 730pm and 830pm. and i stay up till 11pm. I usuallu play on the computer, clean the house, and just relax watching a movie.

KatieLeigh79 replied: I have yet to discover "Me" Time In fact last comment I got when I asked when I got to do something was "You have time to do something when he sleeps" - My son doesn't sleep . Yesterday I was givin 45 minutes to work on cleaning the house because it was driving DH nuts, and today I was told I could have a "reward" for spending all last night picking up after I finally got JR to sleep - but today when I asked about a reward I got a blank look... I'm still in jammies atm, DH has already had his shower and is playing MUD... the house is still in disarray from being gone a week - and I've had a pedicure 2x in my life *g* Find them to expensive to be worth it =) Otherwise when I discover me time, will let you know

WOW! I get 5 if I'm lucky!! DH takes like an hour!! My Me time doesn't happen very often and when it does I read the posts here adn try to reply( which is why it is taking me FOREVER to get to 500!)
