What do you feed your child for... - breakfast & lunch?

CAMSMOM1 wrote: I'm running out of ideas. He eats EVERYTHING, so he's not picky at all. He loves healthy foods too.

I just was hoping to get some suggestions on what you feed your child for breakfast & lunch.

Thanks! thumb.gif

jem0622 replied: Breakfast - this really varies. We've had the cereal bars, instant oatmeal, hard boiled or scrambled egg, yogurt, banana, pancakes, breakfast meats, toast and jelly, french toast sticks.

Lunch - usually a hot lunch. Nathan gets PB&J on ritz crackers in his lunch b/c he hates bread? blink.gif He also gets a juice and fruit and chips. Gabe and the girls usually have a hot meal (soup, grilled cheese, spaghetti o's, mac-n-cheese, peas and rice) but sometimes have a cold meal like PB&J

ammommy replied: Breakfast: Omlets, cereal, oatmeal, pancakes, fruit dishes, cereal bars, polenta with syrup, french toast, quiche

Lunch: Anything from grilled cheese and soup to leftovers from last night's dinner. I do try to include at least 1 vegetable with lunch because they don't always eat a great dinner.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Breakfast: oatmeal, different fruits, pancakes, yogurt, cereal bars.

waffels with strawberry all-fruit jam (for Jack) syrup for Jama, cheese toast and sausage, pancakes diced up with strawberries, Kix with fruit, cheesey eggs and a piece of french toast. Jama loves those Sausage Egg and Cheese Croissants or sausage bisquits and those McGriddle things you can get in the frozen food section with sausage egg and cheese.

Lunch is Mac n Cheese with peas
Dora, Goldfish or Lipton Ring-a-noodle soup
grilled cheese and carrots (with ranch dressing)
lots of quesadillas
diced up ham and cheese that Jama eats with a toothpick or her chopsticks--big fun
A sandwich made with pocket bread and served with sugar snap peas dipped in ranch dressing
Perdue Chicken dinosaurs
Jack eats fruit, fruit and more fruit

jcc64 replied: Breakfast is usually cereal, apples and peanut butter, oatmeal, yogurt, or occasionally- eggs. Belgium waffles on w/e's only.

Lunch
lots of fresh fruit- berries, apples, etc.
mandoo (Korean dumplings)
pasta
turkey sandwich
egg salad
vegetarian egg rolls
soup

CAMSMOM1 replied: Thanks for the good suggestions! bigtup.gif

Cam usually will have cereal, oatmeal, breakfast bars, bagel with cheese, and sometimes french toast sticks.

For lunch he'll eat a sandwich, leftovers, grilled cheese, quesadillas, ravollis, Top Ramen, burrittos, dino chicken nuggets, or pasta.

But I got a lot of good ideas now, thanks for the input! wink.gif

CosmetologyMommy replied:
lol that is so cute that u do that him!

My3LilMonkeys replied: Brooke usually eats bread for breakfast. That kid loves bread and will eat a half a loaf a day if we let her, so we try to only let her have it for breakfast.

For lunch she gets just about everything - lunchmeat and cheese, Dora chicken noodle soup, leftovers, etc.
