If you work, what kinda work do you do?
I work for my inlaws computer company, im the office manager i guess you could say, so thats what i do all day not to exciting lol.

I used to work for the government... but left that a few years ago for dh's career to advance in another city. Since moving back to Ottawa, I ran a home daycare for a while... the latest were baby triplets... but they found someone to take care of their babies in-home, and I haven't bothered to get new charges. I don't need to, so why would I... lol
My mornings, for the moment, I spend playing word games with my youngest, we draw, sing, dance, work on letters, colors etc... then she naps for a couple hours. Then we pick up my two oldest around 2:30 from their school bus, play outside for a bit... then we play dress up, build a fort with my couch, that sort of thing.
I play all day, so I usually have time to type stuff too... considering my computer is *right there*, all the time.

I wish i was that into playing but im not that good at playing with my daughter but i do try so thats what counts right?

jcc64 replied: Was a full time textile designer for 20 yrs. When my job in particular and the industry as a whole in the States migrated to China, I went back to school to become a high school English/special ed teacher.
Crystalina replied: I haven't worked (for money  ) in 6 yrs. I stay home with the kids. Evan only goes to pre-school 2 hours a day Mon, Wed & Fri's so he's still here all the time. While he's at pre-school I go to the gym (because his school is 20 min. from our house and it doesn't pay to drive all the way home). All other days, I just clean, come on here, cook, take care of our mini farm and wonder why I quit smoking.
A&A'smommy replied: I am a full time stay at home mom, and i'm a wedding photographer on the side  Me and lissa play, or I make her play in her room while I clean or while I'm unpacking (we just moved) I'm getting ready to finish painting so I will be doing that next week and then next month I will paint Autumns room (maybe)
CantWait replied: Well until the end of February I'm a SAHM. After that I'll be taking a drastic turn and going to Afghanistan to Support Our Troops work as a retail clerk for 6 months.

Cece00 replied: I am a SAHM. I was working PT, on days my DH was off, but the business is REALLY slow right now so I havent worked in about 2 months.
Right now I am looking for a FT job. My ex is months and months behind in support & money is getting tight. He keeps doing this so I think its time to work so the $ isnt an issue...then if I get it from him, it can go into savings.
As of right now- I spend all my time with my kids. 2 of my kids are in school and 2 are home. We play around the house, watch a little TV (Sesame St- that is what my daughter is watching right now), I clean the house, do projects around here, I love photography, and I LOVE shopping, I do that a lot too

kit_kats_mom replied: I'm a WAHM. I'm home with the girls during the day. We usually go to the gym in the AM, play and hang out, have lunch and get ready to take K to school. Lauren and I go home and she naps (I sometimes join her LOL) and while she's napping, I do house stuff (start dinner prep, clean, whatever the fly lady task is for the day), surf the net, work on Daisy scout meeting stuff, work on my webpage or do some paid work. Sometimes, I'll even watch one of my recorded shows but honestly, it's rare for the TV to go on in our house until after dinner. When L wakes up we go pick up K from school, go to the playground or run errands, eat dinner then after the kitchen is cleaned, I go to my office (bedroom) and work for a few hours while DH takes care of bath, teeth, and playing. Then we read them stories and it's off to bed with the kids. I usually work a few more hours but if I'm caught up, I'll sometimes sit on the couch with DH and watch a show.
for my paying job, I determine the percentage of medicaid eligible kids for school districts in MO, FL & SC to help them get funding from the government.
Somehow, in all of that, we manage to do some kind of art everyday and get the kids to help us pick up the place at least once a day.

TheOaf66 replied: I work for a triage call center at a health care system. I do class enrollments and physician referrals. Until recently I just did phone stuff but now I am getting more and more involved with reporting and marketing research etc and hopefully soon my job will move more in that direction permanently. I am locked to my computer which is why I can be on here all the time

Boo&BugsMom replied: Stay at home mom during the day, and I work part-time in the evenings during the week for a Chiropractor M,T, W, and Fri's. I am currently looking for something in the same field but with more hours, as I do not get enough right now to make ends meet. That's another long story for another thread though.

Boys r us replied: I'm a SAHM. I get up at 5:30 with my DH every morning and we spend 30 minutes together snuggled up on the couch and talk while the house is still quiet. Then he gets in the shower around 6 and I pack lunches for DH and my 2 boys that are school age and get their clothes laid out and book bags by the door etc. 6:30 I kiss DH goodbye and wake the boys up and see that they eat breakfast and brush their teeth, get dressed. While they're doing that, I get Alliebelle up and change her diaper and get her dressed for the day. Then we all load up in the mini-van and we start dropping them off..they go to two different schools. Once they are dropped off, I hit the gym since it's right beside my oldest son's school. A lot of times I'll shower at the gym b/c Alliebelle is in the nursery and it means I can shower in peace as opposed to doing it at home. When we leave the gym we run our errands..mall..grocery store..whatever we have to do that day. Some mornings we have 10 am playdates as we belong to a local SAHM's group. Usually make it home by noon and I feed her lunch and put her down for a nap. That's when I have 2 hours to clean..or in today's case..play online! Then I get her up and change her and we load up the van and go pick up her big brother from kindergarten at 2:30. Come back..fix him a snack and discuss his day, we usually play a round or two of "operation -spiderman edition" or go fish and then we'll cuddle on the couch and watch Spongebob while Alliebelle plays with her toys. Then we start dinner around 4 so it will be ready when DH gets home around 5 and we all shovel it in and then we begin our nightly ritual of taking the boys to their ball games and sports practices. Then it's bath time and homework time and then bedtime by 8:30 for the smaller 2 and 9pm for the oldest.. then Rick and I get a couple of hours of unwind time alone! and Repeat...
and I do have 1 day a week that Alliebelle goes to the babysitters so I can have 1 ME DAY!!!

To answer the OP, I am the Domestic Payroll Analyst for a Global Spirits and Wine Distillery Corporation. We make alcohol basically....LOL but I just do the hourly (union workers) and salary payroll for the company. I don't do the international payroll however, we have another girl who does that. I am currently working on getting my CPP certification (Certified Payroll Professional) which will hopefully bump me up in pay, I already have my Bachelor's We'll see. I go for the exam sometime in March or April. Then when I go home I'm a mommy of 2, I cook, give baths, play and get the kids to bed when I get home.

Boys r us replied: Yeah LeaAnn, I have been since August! It took a lot for me to give up my career..but I had that lingering voice in the back of my head telling me that I needed to! She's my last one ya know and me working wasn't about the money but about my sanity and I think I just finally accepted that this would be beneficial and would actually HELP my sanity considering we lead such busy lives that I didn't have time to breathe before let along keep the house as clean as I wanted or spend enough time with the kids. I just finally cracked! LOL
