What do you guys think of this house?
luvmykids wrote: House
I'm not sure about it only for the fact that the bedrooms are a little small and the kitchen is too.
What I love are the views, the fact that it's brand new, the kids could have their horses instead of having to go to grandpas, the kitchen has awesome appliances, and that it has an office with a separate entrance which would be ideal for me doing a lot of work from home.
The other house we have there is flat out not going to work but I have a guy who wants to buy it so I'm kind of thinking of this one, it's actually a lot less than the balance on the other AND I struck a fabulous deal for the company to reimburse me for the payment
BAC'sMom replied: Awesome...and thanks now I am jealous AGAIN. I am going to go home and pack my bags tonight!
C&K*s Mommie replied: love it simply by the outside alone... it has that log cabin look to it.
PrairieMom replied: Looks awesome. How small are the rooms?
luvmykids replied: I don't know the measurements, but the master is pretty average, it's just the other bedrooms. One is probably about 10x10, the other is even smaller. I'm kind of thinking that since it has 2 living areas one could be used for toy storage/play area, so the bedrooms would only have to be for sleeping/clothes, but then again I'm not sure I like the thought of not being able to send them to their rooms to play
I flip flop, one minute I love it and the next I'm just not quite sure.
The other thing I love is that at the very back of the property is a tree line, there are some little steps down to a clearing that has a picnic table and a fire pit, and that's where the creek flows. It's super shallow so I wouldn't be afraid of them getting hurt but it's also enough water for them to play in. And we could "camp out" down there. I think the kids would love it.
And I go back and forth on the kitchen too, it is pretty small but does have a big pantry and room for a hutch or something for extra storage.
redchief replied: It's a little stark, but that's why they make paint every day. Those views are breathtaking.
luvmykids replied: LOL That was my thought when I walked in. Any suggestions, Ed? Or anyone? I have a camel colored leather couch and open to ideas.
Kaitlin'smom replied: okay the BLUE roof threw me. The views are BEAUTIFUL. I like the Kitchen, well its bigger than mine right now.....I think it woudl be nice for you. I love the thought of the camp out. I say go for it, and invited ED over to paint
mckayleesmom replied: OOOH....I LOVE IT. Im very jealous if you get that house...I think the land and property are very worth it.....If you decide to stay you could always add on a little or rent it out for a killing.
luvmykids replied: Oh-and it has RV hook ups in case anyone wants to visit. Hint hint.
luvmykids replied: Thats what I'm thinking, I seriously doubt being there more than 2 years but it would be great for a rental because it's got two ski areas within 15 minutes and that lake is well known around here for all kinds of fishing competitions.
gr33n3y3z replied: The views are perfect and the thought of the horses there makes it even better. I say go for it very nice and good luck
redchief replied: I'm definitely no interior decorator, but I would try to bring the outside in a bit... Maybe some tans and yellows and make the windows focal points so you don't feel so closed up in the small bedrooms.
luvbug00 replied: I love it!
Our Lil' Family replied: Tim says "It's perfect...now go find a job in New Mexico!" to me of course! We'd never find that much land and a house like that here for that price! GRAB IT GIRL!
msoulz replied: Wow, I think it looks amazing! I'd live there!!!!
luvmykids replied: Thats part of what makes me think I can live with the small bedrooms/kitchen ... drive 15 minutes and you can't touch anything like it for under $500K, and even that would only get you 5 acres.
Boo&BugsMom replied: LOVE IT! I'm jealous! I think it's beautiful!
Brias3 replied: Wow, I agree. It looks perfect and it seems a steal with all that land you're getting for the price! What GORGEOUS views too. I love how the interior of the house is very rustic as well.
Good luck!
Cece00 replied: Its nice! Can you go see it & see if the bedrooms are do-able? That might convince you even more (or dissuade you, too)
luvmykids replied: I've seen it, I can mentally picture the furniture in the bedrooms and it seems do-able, but a tiny part of me thinks I'm just excited about the rest of it and am talking myself into thinking the bedrooms aren't really that small.
MomToJade&Jordan replied: Oh wow Mon. That view is just breathtaking. When can I move in? I think you should go for it. The land is what sold that place tp me.
kimberley replied: wow! that is really nice! i'd live there in a heartbeat.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Monica that price is FANTASTIC for all of that!!! The rooms really aren't that small. Take it from someone who has their children in 10x10 rooms. It's definitely doable if you have another space for toys.
The roof...it's metal, right? Not blue Either way, that is close to my dream home. I really love it and the views can't be beat.
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Oooh very nice!! Go for it!! I like the sounds of that "camp out" spot! And the views are just beautiful!!
luvmykids replied: Aimee, it's only 12 minutes from Red River So you guys definitely have to plan a ski trip!
And yes, the roof is metal. The bedrooms may be even smaller than that but I'm still thinking that with another place for toys it would still be doable. Same with the kitchen, it's small but I think it will work for what I need while we're there.
MyBabeMaddie replied: A beautiful house!! Love the scenery!
paradisemommy replied: i so agee with everyone...LOVE the house and am SO jealous..i would LOVE to buy that house!! Go for it!!!
mom2my2cuties replied: WOW! That house is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!
Add me to the jealous category! Those views are absolutely amazing. My husband & I are getting ready to build a house in the beautiful hills of Tennessee
