What do you snack on? - during the day

mysweetpeasWil&Wes wrote: I've never been much of a snacker, but if there is something in the house like chips or cookies....It's all day all of the time! I can't stop! I made chocolate chip cookies yesterday and I have had about a half dozen in just a few hours. It makes me sorta sick, but they are there and haunting me each time I walk in the kitchen. If I buy chips, which is pretty much never, the bag is gone in one day. DH and I are into healthy food, but if there is something "bad" around...it doesn't last long. I sometimes think I should stock up on a lot of unhealthy foods so I can kill the temptation. What do you snack on?

moped replied: My desk at work is full of treats - granola bars, craberrie oat bar things, I have fruit, crackers on my desk etc etc

At home I eat chips and junk all day long!

Calimama replied: Red Bell peppers, kiwi, string cheese or cheese cubes, turkey sticks.

BabyOwen427 replied: buggy peanut butter!! tongue.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Oh you guys are gooooooood...nice and healthy. I would say I eat healthy snacks too, but I also have a cookie after a piece of fruit! tongue.gif

gr33n3y3z replied: I'm going healthy blink.gif blush.gif

gr33n3y3z replied:

momofone replied: I have a daily addiction to chocolate happy.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied:
I just got what you meant.... rolling_smile.gif

Calimama replied:
HA! Not ALL the time. Today my snack was curly fries dipped in ranch. emlaugh.gif

Celestrina replied: Right now, oreos and milk. The rest of the time it ranges from heart-attack unhealthy to baby carrots.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Popcorn, avocados, crackers, cheese, yogurt....

Sometimes chips and sweets, although I don't have much of a sweet tooth..I'd much rather have something salty. yummy.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Lately, veggies. dry.gif

normally, we snack healthy, like granola bars, fruit and veggies, but we also have crackers and cheese, applesauce, jello, pudding, cupcakes, muffins, cookies... homemade though, hardly ever store bought. wink.gif

luvmykids replied: You name it, I eat it laugh.gif I aim for healthy because of the kids which means fruits, cheeses, veggies, rice cakes, granola bars, yogurt, etc.

BUT I have my own stash of snacks, bags of mini candy bars, chips, etc. I also make brownies almost every night after they go to bed tongue.gif

Crystalina replied: Sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and freeze pops. happy.gif

Kentuckychick replied: Pepper and olive oil triscuits with cheese or ham or whatever is around to put on them... they are delicious!

sparkys2boys replied:
UGHHHHH.. u health nut u!!!

C&K*s Mommie replied: I chew gum mostly or eat peppermints.
There is a candy dish with butterscotch candies, and hershey kisses that I have been addicted to lately at my work (aka extern site). The dish calls my name every time I pass it, and I answer and give in to temptation by eating the candy! emlaugh.gif

Bamamom replied: Right now I'm addicted to the Sam's Choice Mountain Mix (peanuts, cashews, almonds, raisins, and M&M's.)

Oh yeah - tack on an idiosycrysis (way off on the spelling) - each handful must be eaten in that order - but save the M&M's till the very end and eat them all at one time!!!!

redchief replied: I'm not a big snacker but cookies are my personal devil. If there are fresh cookies in the house I become a feral hunter. No cookie is safe from my snapping jaws! Hahahahah! Oh. Sorry. Got a little carried away there. blink.gif

stella6979 replied: I'm not big on snacks either, but when I do snack I like watermelon, strawberries, cashews, chips & salsa and I LOVE Lays Sour Cream & Onion chips.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Ok, Ed, now I know exactly what to do next time I bake. Send it to New Jersey! What a great solution to my problem. I love baking, but the eating of it is what put me over 200 pounds. Excellent, now I can just send the cookies to you and you can take them with you so Lisa won't eat them and ruin her diet.

redchief replied:
That'd be like giving crack to a coke addict, Kelly. sleep.gif

MyBrownEyedBoy replied:
Okay, well, if you don't want them I'll have to just bring them to work here, then. Lab techs will eat anything. Sorry, cookie addict.

redchief replied:
yummy.gif yummy.gif yummy.gif yummy.gif yummy.gif yummy.gif See, out of control already and I haven't even smelled a single cookie yet.
