Sam & Abby's Mom replied: The legs kind of do.................... I dont remember chicken pox being so red,, but the only time I've seen them is when I had them...........and that was like 30 years ago!

Boo&BugsMom replied: They seem kind of big to be pox, but that's JMO. They look more like skeeter bites. I could be wrong though. I'm not sure to be honest, but mosquito bites were the first thing that came to mind.

My3LilMonkeys replied: I agree - they look like skeeter bites to me. And I know mine do blister a lot, especially if I scratch them.

lovemy2 replied: That was my original thought was sketer bites when I noticed the first two or three - but at the Ped's office the other day three appeared as we were sitting there - he also has one on his little peeper now too....and I went through his room with a fine tooth comb looking for spiders nests or anything like that and none.....

My Ped was stumped too - he is thinking hand foot mouth - but he still has none on his hands, feet or mouth or pox but they don't itch or at least he isn't acting like they are and some are blistering........but yes they are very red and that seems kinda wierd to me too - I have to take him back tomorrow...I am kinda concerned....

Crystalina replied:
Yep, that's what I say also.

Here is a classic early chicken pox lesion.

Here is a more severe case.

lovemy2 replied: I am totally stumped....I honestly don't think skeeters only because he hasn't been outside and the nite he was - the 4th of July it was chilly and he had on pants and a sweatshirt - not to say he couldn't have gotten bit but they are popping out more and more and what about the one on his peeper??? UUUUGGGGGHHHHH -

Crystalina replied:
On his dickey doo? ohmy.gif Oh no!

Does he have a temp? huh.gif

gr33n3y3z replied: Those look like Hives Erin got them with food reactions

punkeemunkee'smom replied: I was kinda thinking hives too...but hives usually don't blister. Do they itch? They do look large to be pox but my brothers had cases that the bumps looked HUGE but turns out they were getting more than one bump in the same spot. Poor baby! Let us know what you find out! hug.gif

luvmykids replied: Oh geez, I have no idea. They don't look like the pox I've seen but the fact they're still popping up is a bit odd. I hope you're able to get an answer, how does he seem to be feeling? hug.gif hug.gif

boyohboyohboy replied: chicken pox dont usually get that red around them, and the blisters are not usually that large...
caleb had hand foot and mouth when he was young but it didnt look like that...

could it be a spider bite?
although it seems like he has a lot of them for it to be from one bug.

also strange that it stumped the dr..

how is he feeling?
