What freaks you out??? - Clowns,spiders,something weird...LOL!

Clowns don't freak me out, but they give me the creeps. I can't have any clown stuff in my house b/c I think they'll come to life and kill us in our sleep (Thanks Steven King! )

Needles wig me out a little too. Getting a shot requires a turned away head and tightly closed eyes.

So am I! My Mom says that I was scared as a child. Clowns in any form totally give me the Willy’s.

I also can't stand June Bugs and Crickets because it never fails, they fly and get in my hair and then I can't them out. And of course DH and DS#1 use my fear to their advantage.

I'm also pretty afraid of being in the bathroom when it's dark. I don't know why. I was in the shower once and the power went out... I FREAKED out... I don't really remember how, but I jumped out of the shower and ran downstairs screaming. DH found me huddled by the patio door, wet, naked, shaking and bleeding on my shoulder. The next day, I had a huge bruise where I was cut... I probably knocked myself on the countertop in the bathroom in my mad dash to get to a lit area... I can be anywhere else with no lights no problem. Just not bathrooms.

My dad used to terrify me when I was a child.. he'd tell me that there were monsters under my bed with big sharp claws - and that if I got out of my bed, they'd cut my feet off... so I was afraid to even let some part of me pass the edge of the bed. So now, I HAVE to sleep with a sheet over me, up to my neck...and I don't like having even a finger pass the edge of the bed.

Ive never liked them but once, I went to a friends party and they had pizza and as I was eating a slice, I saw an ant crawling on it. now, I cant even squish one with my finger. I have to either have gloves, or more likely, I carry around the Raid can. and now, since I moved into this crawling apartment, I have been having nightmares everynight at 3am and can't sleep. luvmykids replied: SNAKES! I've thrown up and/or hyperventilated more than once over a snake. Cannot handle them at all. Tried to "face my fears" and watch something on Discovery channel and had a full blown anxiety attack. So forget it, I just avoid them like the devil.

Don't like magpie's either, once I was taking a nap when the twins were little and a million of them were on the skylight of our house and pecking at it like crazy, like they were trying to tear it off and get inside or something.

Spiders do not bother me...I just don't like bugs.

I hate needles. I can't watch anyone on TV getting a shot either. I certainly can't watch my children or myself get one.

Water freaks me out. I will get in the water, but I don't want to look at it (in person or in a picture), drive by it or drive over it. And I don't like water rides at Six Flags AT ALL. I try...I was just there yesterday and Maddie wanted to ride the log ride...I think my insides shook the whole time. UGH....can't think about it.

Momof3inMe replied: Bats freak me out! I was watching the 2 boys next door Tuesday night and when I put them to bed there was a bat flying around in the room. I had to keep it together and go get DH to get the stupid thing out!

One other one. My MIL collects old dolls. The two guest rooms are FULL of dolls. Hundreds of old dolls...watching you sleep...gives me the willies!!! In general doll don't freak me out but when there is an army of blank stares watching you sleep...<shiver>

huggybugboy replied: OH I remembered another one. glow in the dark stuff. I saw a movie once when I was a kid. This guy murdered his wife and the cops put that ultra violet stuff all over the walls and when they turned off the light you could see the blood all over the walls. ICK! I still have visions of that when I see glow in the dark paint or anything.

When I was a little girl (I'm 26 now), my dad and uncle told me that butterflies would pick me up and carry me away. It kinda stuck!!

Oh yeah that too with me! I have a big fear of water in general-not so much for me as for Tay or kids....I was a lifeguard and the thought of drowning is never far from my mind now whenever we are around water! (and this summer that has been every weekend! )

i jump out of my skin at the sound of thunder (dh finds this hilarious ) and i cannot drive beside trucks. i guess that was from all the tires flying off trucks her quite a few years back. they are the size of my car *shudder*

on top of that, heights and small tight spaces.. i get more clostrophobic the older i get. i can't even sit in the car for a car wash

Mirrors and windows at night time freak me out, especially when I'm up alone or home alone. I freak out someone will be looking at me through the window, or someone will be standing behind me in the mirror.

If I get up alone, and it's still dark or it's nighttime, I can't look at the television until I turn it on, because I heard a story about a face being on a turned off, unplugged television...now I freak out about it.

OMG me too... I have been terrified of snakes my whole entire life, and I was raised in the country . They used to get in our cellar over the summer because it was cool down there and we had a bulk head entrance... I am still terrifed to go down there even though it is all remodeled and my dad's grooming shop is down there now

I basically failed my biology lab in college because of snakes... we had a section where we studied reptiles and we had to watch a movie about Herpetology... I couldn't sit through the class, I left and called DF crying. Then I went to the next leb (it was once a week) and he brought a baby ball python and some other friggen snake INTO THE CLASS and we had to stare at them and classify them and I walked in, screamed, and ran back to the parking lot and went home... and seriously could never go back because I was afraid of what would be in the lab next week. Yeah... I need therapy lol

I also hate driving next to big trucks and the whole driving over bridges thing... also I'm really scared of walking over those grate things in the cities on the sidewalks, afraid I'll fall in heehee

Actually, anything dressed up to where you cant see the actual person inside the costume. I do alright at places like Disney World, as long a Mickey Mouse or Goofy or any of those other things dont try to come near me!!
