What is Wrong With People? - Abducted Child email HOAX!
Kirstenmumof3 wrote: OMG this is so awful! I recieved an email this afternoon from my sister about a missing child. It said that the the childs name was Penny Brown and a picture was included. They say that the child was from South Carolina and even included an email address where you could get more info. Well I checked the Centre for Missing and Exploited Chidren and this child is not listed there. Not only that, but the email address provided isn't real. I tried to send an email asking questions, but it popped up that the email address does not exist! Why would someone do that? And who is the little girl in the picture? Here is the message:
Please pass this to everyone in your address book.
We have a store manager (Wal-Mart) from Longs, SC who has a 9 year old daughter who has been missing for 2 weeks. Keep the picture moving on. With luck on her side she will be found. I am asking you all, begging you to please forward this email on to anyone and everyone you know, PLEASE. My 9 year old girl, Penny Brown, is missing. She has been missing for now two weeks.. It is still not too late. Please help us. If anyone anywhere knows anything, please contact me at: zicozicozico@hotmail.com I am including a picture of her. All prayers are appreciated!!
It only takes 2 seconds to forward this on. If it was your child, you would want all the help you could get.

Lollie replied: What kind of psycho would do that!!!!
They should put his face up everywhere and tell ppl to ple be on the lookout for a crazed animal that has escaped from a scientist lab!!!
Kirstenmumof3 replied: Thanks for posting the links. I'm going to forward it on to everyone my sister emailed that message too. That's just awful!
bucky replied: www.snopes.com - is a good web site for any email forwards, like the government is going to charge money for emails, or AOL is going to charge for AIM or whatever.. 99.99999% of email forwards aren't true, that web site basically explains that.
loveydad replied: I was just about to post what bucky said! Snopes.com is where i always check.

Isa's Mom replied: I hate those kind of emails they make me cry and then to find out it was a lie ugghh some people seem to like to spread misery.
Nicole replied: OH my gosh who the hack would don`t some thing so fuc*ed up?
ctymom replied: Some people have WAY too much time on their hands and NO life. Truly sad. I dont understand why people do that stuff. I've had to deal with people online who pretend they are very sick and dying just to find out it's all fake. I dont take to heart things online unless its proof positive.
sick people for sure!

GavinsMommy replied: OMG THANK YOU!!
I got that email and actually forwarded it to EVERYONE on my addy list since I lived in South Carolina. I got it months ago and have thought about her from time to time...wondering if she was ever found.
What an evil person...whoever did that!
Josie83 replied: That is sick. I mean honetsly, who would do that/ xx
ctymom replied: ok... I was thinking about this and was wondering... what do they get out of doing this? I really dont understand. It's not like they see a reaction from people, get money, or national recognition or something. Even to fullfil some sick satisfaction...how would that even be possible when it's just emails.
I can see where the jerks that send out virus' get a kick out of the news etc talking about it and causing trouble. It's just stupid.
