What is their birthday theme going to be? - August/September birthdays

coasterqueen wrote: I don't think we've had a thread about this, unless I missed it. I know we have a lot of little ones going to turn 4 for sure, but I'm sure there are others as well. What is their birthday party theme going to be?

coasterqueen replied: Kylie chose Tinkerbell. So the girls are going to get something girly for their party favors and she wants the boys to have pirate party favors. I so need to get working on the invitations so I can get them out here real soon. unsure.gif happy.gif

3_call_me_mama replied: Kathlen is going to be 2 on teh 14th of September. zbut we are having her party on the 9th cause we have a weddin gon teh 15th and on the 16th (2 different weddings both out of State!) So we are doing it the week before. She wants
"a happy birthday party with a crown and shoes!" She watched Dora teh otehr day where they had some girls birthdya and dora needed to bring a crown and shoes to her. So she keeps runnig around going "where's my happy birthdya with the crown and shoes?!" So we're probably doing Cinderella (cause i have the cake pan! LOL) and she'l get a littel crown and dress up shoes. Not sure how many are coming or what to do for favors yet.. I Love birthdya plannign but i hate it at teh same time! Luckily we have until november for Cameron's but that's RIGHT after teh baby is due SO that will eb stressful as well. He can't decide between a party or going to a place liek chuckie cheese.

jcc64 replied: Corey's b-day is sept 4, and I'm going to be away on vacation the entire week before, and I've done NOTHING about her party yet. Bad mommy, bad mommy.
I am thinking of getting her a two wheel big girl bike, b/c she's outgrown the tricycle from a gross motor standpoint. She's incredibly athletic and co-ordinated, and I'm certain she could master the 2 wheeler very quickly, but she's so teeny, I'm not sure what size she'd fit on. I've seen a 12" one, that's about the smallest I've come across. How can I know w/o blowing the surprise by having her test one out first? Anyone?
Sorry to hijack your thread, Karen. Maybe I'll steal one of your ideas....

coasterqueen replied:
Buy two sizes...dunno.gif Not sure. blush.gif Why not take her to the toy store and just browse for fun and then let her try out the bikes why you are there? I did this with the girls last weekend because Dh and I want to get Megan a rocking horse for Christmas, but we weren't for sure if she'd like it, what size to get, etc. happy.gif

Jamison'smama replied: Jamison has gone back and forth between a Kim Possible theme and Barbie Magic of Pegasus. Neither would be my choice but whatever she wants is fine. I would like to steer her away from the traditional character birthdays but she is one character-lovin' kid.

coasterqueen replied:
laugh.gif Sorry I got a giggle out of that one. You know the first year I was the culprit with the character theme. The second and third year she didn't want a character theme, but this year she does. DH and I wanted a luau theme so we could have a big cookout, but Tinkerbell and a Luau just doesn't mix, so we get off cheap this year in only having a cake/ice cream party instead. happy.gif

BTW, Kim Possible at this age? I'm not even sure Kylie has seen that one. happy.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Zach is into Spiderman... so that's what it will be - but we're only having a small get together with a few family members, nothing big.

dh wants us to buy silly string and make cobwebs everywhere. I don't think so. rolling_smile.gif

my2monkeyboys replied:
And just why not??!!?? It's not like it'd be huge mess that the kids would be sure to rip down and drag everywhere!
LOL laugh.gif

Will is having a party at Chuck E. Cheese. This will be the first not-at-the-house party, but I'm looking forward to it.. less work for me!

MommyToAshley replied:
Ashley wants her party at Chuck E Cheese as well. But, she also wants a Dora theme. So, we are bringing our own cake, a DORA cake. And we've already picked up the Dora goodies for the goodie bags. I have to admit, I really wanted to throw her a party here so we could do a cute girly girl theme, but the Chuck E Cheese party is SOOO much less work that I am looking forward to it now. And, Ashley is excited about it, she keeps asking how much longer until September. laugh.gif

BTW, does anyone need any Barney themed invitations? I have about 16 (I think) that are unopened that I would be happy to send for free. We ordered them for her 2nd birthday party but they didn't arrive in time to send them out.

Tracyisme replied: Valerie will be 7 September 29th. She wants a "reptile theme". Lizards, Gators...etc. I think I have a tomboy on my hands! laugh.gif
We are praying it will be warm enuf to have her party at the local park. We live in an apartment and one of my neighbors is elderly and... well... lets just say... not so into child noises. rolleyes.gif

Crossing fingers September has a warm ending!

ediep replied: Jason is having a Thomas the tank Engine party

I made the invitations... they are train tickets, I already got the thomas plates, tablecloths, napkins and I even bought him a Thomas shirt to wear to the party. I am making the cake.... a train of course

here is a pic of the recipe I am using

coasterqueen replied:
That's a beautiful cake Edie!!!!! I can't wait to see pics of his party. You always do such a good job with parties. smile.gif

I am going to make Kylie a shirt for her birthday party. I'm going to design one with a picture of Tinkerbell on it and it'll say "I'm 4 today!" or something quirky like that. happy.gif

Boo&BugsMom replied: Tanner's was Cars. He loves Mater and Lightning McQueen. Last year it was Clifford.

Kirstenmumof3 replied: love2.gif Princesses! She just loves to wear dresses and wear crowns. Everything princesses! We even found a Disney Princess Bike for her, I can't wait for her Birthday! love2.gif

*Ashleigh* replied: Jayden turns 5 on September 19th, his birthday party is going to be Spiderman themed but it's only going to be a pretty small get-together with family and a few friends smile.gif
