What is your little one going to be for Halloween?

coasterqueen wrote: Anyone got any ideas? Since we've been speaking about Christmas gifts, etc I thought maybe the topic of Halloween would be appropriate too. biggrin.gif

DH wants to dress Kylie as a devil because he says it fits her right now. rolleyes.gif I want to dress her as a little princess. wub.gif We can't seem to come to a conclusion, yet. tongue.gif But I do know that I don't want to be racing around at the last minute like I was last year. wacko.gif

amynicole21 replied: How about a little princess with devil horns and a tail? rolling_smile.gif

Last year I bought Sophia a little china-doll kimono from babystyle.com, but it was way too big. I tried it on her this weekend and it fits perfectly. It's a red satin kimono with yellow embroidery and belt... very cute. wub.gif

coasterqueen replied:
ROFL. That would work! rolling_smile.gif

Ahh I was going to ask you how she looked last year in that outfit. I had thought about that one too, but wasn't for sure.

Boys r us replied: I was in Sam's Club a couple of weeks ago and they had THE CUTEST costumes, so I bought one for B. It's this Big furry horse..he LOVES horses. Basically, Braedon's legs go down inside the horse's back legs and then there are suspenders that go over brae's shoulder's to hold the front of the horse up..omg..it's SOOOO unbelievably cute! I can't wait! The way the costume is made, it looks like B is riding the horse, so we're going to dress him up like a cowboy.

ctymom replied: That one's easy this halloween...

A LadyBug! wub.gif

I've been wanting a little one to wear one and now I have my little girl to wear it this year! And she's walking now so she's gonna be soooo cute. Of course she will only be almost a year old and no need for candy... I just want her to look cute and wear a ladybug costume. lol

Kirstenmumof3 replied: wub.gif Claudia is going to be a little white horse. We bought the costume at Walmart when she was about 4mths old off of there clearance rack. She was supposed to wear it last year but my sister bought her a monkey costume.

kit_kats_mom replied: I'm totally sick of holidays/birthdays/weddings etc. Call me a grouch but I am so unprepared this year. blush.gif

When we were with my family for K's birthday, she was kicking a ball around and playing soccer with DH. I said maybe she should be a little soccer player. My mom said that I should dress her up in a pig costume, put a tiny soccer jersey on her and let her carry a soccer ball around. When people asked who/what she is I'd train her to say "me a ham" (Mia Hamm)....UGH! My mom is the worlds worst worst punner. But funny! rolleyes.gif

I really don't know but thanks for the heads up.

coasterqueen replied:
ROFL! rolling_smile.gif

I'm not much into the holidays yet either, lol. I'm trying to though because I know I won't feel any better when I get closer to them and will probably be stressed out worse if I wait. rolleyes.gif And since DH is doing most of everything for us these days if I let him go pick one out she may end up being something worse than a devil...she may be Luke Skywalker or some Star Trek character (not female). rolling_smile.gif

kit_kats_mom replied:
ROFL, That would be bad. :-)

Well, maybe a devil costume with a halo & wings. When someone says Katherine's an angel, I always think "yep, & her horns are holding up her halo". tongue.gif

booey2 replied: Not sure yet, depends on what they want to be, maybe I should ask em tonight so I could start looking around. unsure.gif

Josie83 replied: Hallowe'en really isn't a big deal over here, not many children at all will dress up or trick or treating! Peronsally I don't like Hallowe'en because first of all I'm a Catholic so don't want to celebrate what its about and second because I don't like the thought of Cassie knocking on stranger's doors . . . I think its totally different over here tho, its not a big event like it is in the US. Of course I you will all have to post pictures of your little ones dressed up! xx

Kaitlin'smom replied: well when kaitlin was a few months old one of the disney stores clsoed and I go a couple costumes real cheep, last year she was belle, this year she will be cinderella, or she can be a cheerleader since we got her a Bengals cheerleader outfit and I have pompoms....we will see

dolfinrse replied: We already bought Zack his costume. He is going to be Superman. We weren't going to get it yet, but there were only 2 in his size and we didn't want to have to track down the costume somewhere else.

My2Beauties replied: I think Hanna is going to be Piglet and DSD Desiree is going to be Winnie the Pooh. They have called Desiree Pooh since she was a baby so naturally Hanna is her little sidekick Piglet! I thought that would be cute! tongue.gif

MomToJade&Jordan replied: When my Mom was here she bought Jade a little fairy costume with wings and all. So Jade is going to be a fairy. Now the only thing I have to figure out is what I am going to be. Maybe I will go get me some fairy wings and I can be the Mama fairy.
Who knows.

TeagansMom609 replied: Teagan's going to be either a Whoopie Cushion, or a little Sheep. I saw both costumes on a web site. I think the Whoopie Cushion one is hysterical, and would be a great one to show her friends when she's like 14. Haha!

jolene555 replied: georgia is going to be a ladybug - it's one of those tom arma costumes. i really wanted to get her the tom arma monkey or skunk costume, but both were running $70+. ummmm, no. but i got the ladybug on ebay for $30.

nicoleubb replied: I found a really cute kitten costume online, but when I asked Bri what she wanted to be, she said she wanted to be a chicken! emlaugh.gif So I guess I am goin to try to find a chicken costume!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I bought the Tom Arma pattern. We can't decide on the lion or the monkey, though! rolling_smile.gif DH says either one..they are both cute. I guess whichever one is easiest to make is the one I will end up making. tongue.gif Maddie wants to be Barbie Swan Lake. dunno.gif Not sure how I will do that one! blink.gif

3_call_me_mama replied: At his current state Cameron is perfect to be that little angel with the devil horns holding the halo up!

We actually are really going to have him be a devil smile.gif (and may throw the halo on for kicks!) Last Year he was a little skeleton and we painted his face to match, (his first halloween he was supposed to be a bumble bee, he was due on halloween, but was a little late so we just put the costume on him in January or something.) Kathleen is going to be the bumble bee cause we already have it and she's gonna be only about 6 weeks old so it would be silly to buy another costume.

I like the traditional costumes rather than the character ones, just reminds me of when I was little. (Remember those plastic suit things that you wore like a hospital gown. with the stiff masks and the little elastic that held them on.... and they never looked real!?)

Maddie&EthansMom replied:

Sure! I can even remember how they SMELL! blush.gif Of course I associate a lot of things with smells. rolling_smile.gif

momof2girls replied: Kiley is going to be a butterfly or a lady bug, they have the cutest costumes at babies r us, I wish I was talented enough to make one but I am NOT! lol
