What kind of Milk

Boys r us wrote: Just curious. We flip flop back and forth between 1 and 2%.

mckayleesmom replied:
We do that also.....and sometimes I also buy a thing of skim to cook with or for myself.

mummy2girls replied: I buy jenna and myself and marcus 2% but the dayhome kids under 2 i buy homo

luvmykids replied: Usually 2, but for some recipes I like whole.

mommy~to~a~bunch replied: Whole, raw milk only! smile.gif

punkeemunkee'smom replied: I buy whole milk....I don't know if any of you have Promised Land Dairy milk (it comes in glass containers.) It is so good and I am not a milk drinker. It is also hormone free which is my major concern right now for myself and Tay. It also stays good for much longer than regular milk. If it is not available then I buy Horizons Organic thumb.gif

Bamamom replied: oh man I love love love whole milk. Especially when I'm pg. I've craved it with all 3 kids. Some Banana Nut Crunch with whole milk is heaven on earth. I eat it for breakfast and supper most days. MMMMMMMMMMM thumb.gif

cameragirl21 replied: raw. yummy.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Whole when the kids were just starting milk. Then we went to 2%, then 1%, now skim. Skim has all the same nutrients and actually less sugar. And I used to buy only organic, but now we can't afford to. sad.gif

TheOaf66 replied: Organic Skim (whole for Aiden)

Ha beat that all you greenies wavey.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif cool.gif

2% here. We tried soy once but I gagged too much. happy.gif

mommy~to~a~bunch replied:
Ours is considered organic too, but it's not certified. My friend wants as little government involvement as possible, which is why she doesn't get certified.

Nothing better than organic, raw whole milk thumb.gif !

gr33n3y3z replied: We buy 2% or 1% from Wawa
But we also Buy Lactaid 2% for katie

jcc64 replied: Organic 1%. Omg, for once, I'm in the majority in a PC poll!!!!!

holley79 replied: between 1% and 2% depends

bawoodsmall replied: we buy both 1 and 2%. Dh works at A&E Dairy and they dont usually have 1% or I cant find it. I almost got skim this morning but he would flip. I dont think the kids would notice. Organic is really good but very expensive. I tried soy and also gagged. laugh.gif

holley79 replied:
I bought Annika soy because it was a 1.00 cheaper and OMG the BM was horrible! emlaugh.gif I do buy her organic milk though but to be honest here it is only about .50 more then non- organic.

lovemy2 replied: Skim, 1 % and Whole sometimes two gallons each of 1% and Whole and lately I think formula was cheaper every month wacko.gif

Boo&BugsMom replied:
Wow, that price is awesome. Here it is about twice as much than non-organic. I did however recently find the Sassy Cow brand which has been the cheapest I have found so far, raking in at $5 a gallon.

holley79 replied:
For half a gal of Soy it's 2.58 for half a gal of Organic it's 3.73 now. I'll just pay the 3.73 I guess. rolleyes.gif I wish they sold Organic milk around here by the gal instead of just halfs.

ediep replied: I buy whole organic for Emma and Jason, but he hardly drinks it at all.

For DH and I I buy nonfat Lactaid Milk

for dessert for myself I buy light Silk chocolate soy milk.

Boo&BugsMom replied:
Ok, so maybe the price isn't all that great afterall. laugh.gif I guess we're getting a steal then. There are some brands here too that only sell by the half gallon. Sassy Cow and Stoneyfield Farm are the only two that I have seen by the gallon here.

grapfruit replied:
Are any of your moo babies GIRLS? Just thinking, milk....cows......kind of goes hand in hand! smile.gif I wished we lived somewhere we could have a cow or 3. Horses too. *sigh*

DVFlyer replied: We usually buy 1 or 2%, but for Keian, we buy Soy. Michelle thinks that is part of what's causing him to be speech delayed.

I'm allergic to Soy, so I drink the "cow's milk".

Our Lil' Family replied: We buy a local farms 2%, definitely only one that's hormone free!

holley79 replied:
I haven't seen either of those brands. Now I'm going to have to look. Not it's not a very good price at all. emlaugh.gif

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Raw Whole....and Skim. Katy says the whole tastes disgusting so I will mix it for her to make 2ish %

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Organic 2%, but still looking for raw around here. wink.gif

punkeemunkee'smom replied:
Cookie,Petunia, Annie and Blueberry are all girls but none are dairy cows so they won't be giving any milk until their own babies come in a few years...I wouldn't mind a jersey calf but dairies usually don't get rid of hieffer calves as they give milk when they get older. Also they give alot more milk in a day than you could use and they have to be milked or they get massive infections and all sorts of lovely stuff so I will stick with Walmart for now! rolling_smile.gif wink.gif

Why do you want cows? Just for fun?

holley79 replied:
Come on girl you could keep your entire town in Milk. emlaugh.gif emlaugh.gif

HuskerMom replied: We've always gotten 2%.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Skim for me and Dh, and 2% for the kids. I know Allie is supposed to be drinking whole milk, but I stopped buying it because she'd never drink it and I got sick of wasting it. Now that she's drinking the 2% more though I might try whole with her again... buying 3 kinds of milk is such a pain. rolleyes.gif

BabyOwen427 replied: I buy only Braums milk. It's so rich and creamy. I buy a gallon of skim for me and dh, and a half gal of whole for Owen. And of course the occasional half gal of chocolate milk for me tongue.gif

cameragirl21 replied:
http://www.realmilk.com/where.html
type in your location and you will find it. raw milk is illegal in my state and i still found it, it's delicious. happy.gif

jem0622 replied: Ours are all over 2, so there is no need for the milkfat. I transitioned them to skim on a fluke, and we haven't gone back! Plus, it's best for us adults (if we even consume it).

Swood75 replied: Total skim for us...I,myself can go through a whole gallon in about a day and a half to 2 days...LOL

maestra replied:
Ok, I think you may have sparked a new craving for me....now I want some cereal!

I answered whole, but we usually buy the organic.

MoonMama replied: Organic whole for Brae 1% for DH and I. thumb.gif

moped replied: I am a total skim milk junkie since I was pg with Laila, I drink way too much of it in a day!!!!!!!

gr33n3y3z replied: Lactaid makes Organic now thumb.gif
