What kind of music do you like? - And please, share who it is!

There is ALWAYS classical music on in my house when we are home. Around Zach. Either in the living room, or in his room. (He doesn't really go anywhere else in the house anyway.) When I'm by myself, I usually listen to a mix (Phil Collins, Ozzy, Creed, Celine Dion - but only SOME stuff by her - Dave Matthews Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and I like listening to Eminem, I think his songs are hilarious!!!!

In the car with DH, we usually just flip on the radio and surf the channels for songs we like...because it's too much of a hassle to bring cd's sometimes. We usually only bring em on car rides which are longer than 20 minutes.

ashade75 replied: pop mostly, i listen to a little country once in a while

Hillbilly Housewife replied: 'Doh! I knew I forgot one... lol I switched the hard rock / soft rock to be in one, and I added Country as an option!

(oopsie!!! emlaugh.gif )

MommyToAshley replied: I'm a top 40's type gal myself. smile.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
Rick Dees? lol!

maliksmommy replied: I actually listen to rap and r&b. I definately have to watch what I listen to when Malik is in the car with me. The majority of my CD's are not for little kids and I would hate for his first words to be something he heard from listening to my music. I do enjoy enya and sarah mclaughlin (sp?) and that type of music so that's what I try and listen to while he's in the car.

MommyToAshley replied:
LOL rolling_smile.gif Showing my age again! I voted pop.. .but I like all kinds of music.

ediep replied: ok, I'm in my late 20's and I live in NJ...........

BON JOVI

dhoppygirl replied: Definately a soft rock person here...Peter Cetera, Celene Dion, Enya, and lately my absolute favorite is Josh Groban!!!
I also like Big Head Todd & the Monsters, Dave Matthews

This summer I will be seeing Alabama and then Ben Harper in concert...

maliksmommy replied:

OOOH I love his voice!

supermom replied:
Hehehehe - I'm in my mid-fourties and live in Kansas - but I still like Bon Jovi - laugh.gif - and Aerosmith, Christopher Cross, Cher, Black Sabbath, Eagles, Foghat, White Snake, Van Halen, Creed, Monkees, Niel Diamond, (pretty eclectic, huh?) Oh, my, I could go on and on and on - I don't really have an ALL TIME favorite, but I do also listen to country occasionally, and also some classical and jazz (esp Maynard Ferguson and Tim Weisberg - he plays an AWESOME jazz flute!)

Mommieto2Girls replied: I am all hip hop.I do listen to different kinds of music though.

dolfinrse replied: I like listening to hard rock. Zachary likes listening to rock too. Not loud of course. DH used to play Motley Crue for him before he was born and he would start kicking. Now when we can't get him to stop crying we turn on the local rock station and he stops.

CantWait replied: All of the above, except Heavy Metal like Marilyn Manson blink.gif

80's would have to be my top pick though. Late 20's myself, and I thought the 80's rocked.

~CrazieMama~ replied: I picked rock, but my all time fav is 80's. I love the music of both. Go Puddle Of Mudd!!!!!! redbounce.gif banana.gif

kit_kats_mom replied:
Creed...LOL rolling_smile.gif
They are from my town and just a little younger than me. Scott, the drummer, still plays golf with my stepdad...here's the scoop.
The lead singer is a creeP! He is really Short and has a BIG nepolian complex. Even when they were just playing the local bars he was SO full of himself. UGH! Scott the drummer, however, is a living doll. We worked in the mall together at diffreret stores (he worked at Remington Knives) and he always asked me if I wanted coffee when we were opening.
My Best friend dated their roomate for awhile back in the day so I spent alot of time at their house during jam sessions. The lead singer is NUTS...but he does write some good tunes thumb.gif

Just an FYI

jdkjd replied: Didn't vote because I like EVERYTHING! Just a sample of the cd's I own: Run DMC, Maxwell, Etta James, Aretha Franklin (OF COURSE!), Nina Simone, Footloose, Grease, Les Miserables, Cats, Runaway Bride, The Crow, The Cure, U2, REM, ABBA, Donna Summer, Linda Ronstadt, Kenny Rogers, Garth Borrks, The Judds, James Taylor, Simon and Garfunkel, Missy Elliott, The Fugees, Lauren Hill, LL Cool J, Dead Milkmen, Purple Rain, Prince Greatest Hits, Baby Mozart, Return to Pooh Corner, Disney Cds, Celtic Lullabies, Hooked on Swing, Foreigner, Poison (LOL), Guns n' Roses, Bon Jovi, Nine Inch Nails, Beastie Boys, Josh Groban, Miles Davis, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, Lisa Lisa and The Cult Jam, Sir Mix-Alot (SWASS: pre-Baby Got Back),

DURAN DURAN...

There's more but I think that's enough. biggrin.gif

kit_kats_mom replied:
ROFLMAO! I used to love them.

jdkjd replied:
Ryan was a real skateboarder type so I got the cd for him, but I like it!

Heather replied: I voted other because I really don't listen to one specific type of music...it all depends on the song...I could listen to anything if the song is good!! Does that make sense...LOL...I am 24, and hey Supermom, I am from Jersey too!!!! I have to say though I do love Bon Jovi and the 80's!!! AND I LOOOOVE Aerosmith....I use to want to marry Stevie boy>>>That is my nickname for him!!! LOL

OklahomaSooners replied: being from Oklahoma.. if i didn't like country I think I'd get kicked out of the state.

Although.. I tried to slip into my Wranglers 2 weeks ago..

well at least I got my big toe in them unsure.gif

maliksmommy replied:

I am going to a Poison concert next month. This will be the 3rd time I've been. Missed last year because I was 8 months pregnant. Definately a concert worth seeing if you like them biggrin.gif

jdkjd replied: Maliksmommy-I thought you said you liked rap and R&B!

I guess you should add 80s Hair Bands!!

maliksmommy replied: Yes I admit I still have a love for 80's hair bands happy.gif I guess I should have said I pretty much like everything, but the majority of my CD's are rap and r&b. It all depends on the day and the mood I'm in biggrin.gif

booey2 replied: Can't pick just one. Our cd collection has everything from opera, to hard rock and other classical muzak.

dolfinrse replied: Supermom and alismomma--I'm from NJ too. Where in NJ are you from?

I agree about the Poison concerts. DH and I have seen them 3 or 4 years in a row. They really know how to rock.

supermom replied:

I think maybe you mixed me up with ediep - I was quoting her (about her age and where she was from) - no biggie, just didn't want you to think I was ignoring your ? - now from Kansas, originally from California (Bay Area).........have visited NJ, though - does that count??? smile.gif
