What makes you feel - appreciated

I was feeling so lazy this afternoon and when DH got up I just chilled out on the couch and watched tv. I got so comfy I fell asleep!
He woke me up and had dinner all made and the toys that were all over the living room were all picked up! I was soo impressed and greatful for my short nap and the fact that I didnt hve to get up and cook.

Well, I told him thank you for all that and he told me Alex kept trying to bug me and wake me up but he kept him busy so I could get a little rest. Im just getting over a cold and always so beat at the end of the week anyway.
He also told me that since I canceled my appt. to get my nails done last weekend I could go tomorrow night (ALL ALONE) to get them done and not to worry about money
I'm ALWAYS stressing about money and never take time for myself

Before Annika was born he use to leave me little notes on the bathroom mirror. I guess now we are just an old married couple.

I am the same way about money. Unfortuntaly I am the one who does the money so he doesn't get it. I also never take time for me (hardly ever) My dh has been doing a lot lately. I tell him what really makes me feel appreciated is when he tells me good job or I can't believe all you do. He made a card the other night with the kids that said Mommy we appreciate all you do and had their hand prints inside. It was so sweet.

luvmykids replied: Well, theres a list of things that would make me feel appreciated ....until I can get DH to read it I'm happy when he says he's proud that I'm his wife and the mother of 3/4's of his kids. And when he has his friends over, it's more work for me but it's secretly his way of letting them know he thinks he's a lucky guy, which makes me feel good.

Bee_Kay replied: My DH shows me that very thing all the time.... Whether it's a "thank you", or when he does things for me for no reason... or we go out to a nice dinner on no special ocassion.... stuff like that
